Yeah...... I say we all just pack up now and head to Chief's house.
Growing up in FL, I've dealt with more than one bad storm. NOT looking forward to doing it again.
Especially with two kids and wussy pets.
We were South of the worst. According to more recent reports, we're basically sitting in the bull's eye.
Did I ever mention I hate Spam and Parmalat "milk"?

The hubby just corrected me. Apparently at this point, we are on the "leeward" side, so bad, but not as bad as I'm worried it will be.
Can't blame me right? Considering I've driven in at least 2 hurricanes, sat through one while pregnant, and have cleaned up after I don't remember how many. Not something to take lightly.

No, no no! Don't you go jinxing my storm! I prayed, and bled, and made human sacrifice to the surf gods to make this storm come together. And I dared um to aim it at my home break. Low and behold, here's the perfect super cell headed my way gonna send me some epic surf! I wait all year for hurricane season and years for storms like this no matter where I am. I will be spending the next few days chasing this hottie of a storm up the coast and plan to be on the road and mostly in the water and on the beach 24/7 till she finally either stays inland or moves out and dies. Can't wait, don't kill my hopes and dreams!

been rough around here. As some of y'all know, my daughter was expecting her second child (my granddaughter) and was having complications. Almost 8 weeks of bedrest, hospitalized 5 times, she finally gave birth (3 weeks early) to my perfect and beautiful g'daughter. Both are doing well and my daughter is finally getting back to her healthy self.
Between that, and me and her hubby playing tag with their other child (my sweet grandson) and then getting thrown down with health issues of my own, it's been a ride! Lol
now, how is everyone doing and what did i miss besides the sidewinder.

hey everyone! sorry, its been a minute. I am doing well. My stupid little procedure had some complications, but I am fine and healthy. I have been busy with work, and just been a little lazy about posting. I have read all the posts and am up to date.
I am embarrassed to say I have yet to use my cOBalt, or BAM (which needs to be sent back I guess). I have done the SW updates and had a couple of strange little issues including a screw that did not fit and now its in, but stripped so I guess I cant use a kick with that one.
also, noticed a small thing that you should be aware of. If you twist the tank portion and not the bottom housing, sometimes, the top portion will spin and you will have to tighten the screw below. I could not figure this out at first, but when I did, it made sense. be sure to unscrew that portion by using the very bottom part, or you could have this issue.
Hope all are safe back east. Hope you have enough charged batteries. This would be more important than food to me
oh yeah, booked my hotel for chicago. I will be there from thursday till sunday this time so I do not miss ANYTHING

I can't believe that after this summer, I didn't buy a generator! Oh well, all the outside furniture indoors....plenty of food, dog and cat food and of course toilet paper.
Gonna go get some kerosene later and lamp oil. I have plenty of candles, but the oil lamps might be a nice change. At least in the winter if I loose power, I have blankets and a gas stove if things get too bad.
They are already calling in power teams from neighboring states...I've seen crews from Kentucky today.
I so hope this doesn't turn to heavy snow...trees down, power lines all over the place. The problem with the summer storm was that they couldn't get to repair the lines for all the trees and growth. Now....leaves.
