Just a reminder to the Marchies getting your PVs... I said this for the Febbies as well...

The mesh and coil I ship it with is setup from the start, and it was fired and tested at TWO stages in production... there is really NO NEED to toss that out if you're having trouble... learn how to get that one to work before blowing through all your supplies.

I send literally a full years worth of supplies and a completely functional setup as well. Don't get impatient and rip it out... learn how to adjust the coil that is on it, because once you have bailed, it is that much harder to learn.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO WHEN YOU GET THE PV IS POKE THE COIL TO CLEAR THE SHORTS

i still have some of the wicks but i have one i made 5/8 around paper clip in now, just fired new coil (blah) , should have made sure it was wet first.

Why... I don't wet them first to adjust the coil... watch the video! Do I wet the wick before adjusting the coil?

"To Think"

when i ordered my zenesis, and started following this thread, i had 40 posts on this site, in over a year....400 in a few months...lol, the only time i ever used the forum was when i was getting people to talk me into an ego... now i feel like im gonna be at the head of the vaping class with what, by people's reactions, might be the new "standard" other apvs will have to be measured against....

any word from mergryfen on how her coil is running? will the zenesis topple her GG's like it did to Shai's?

ps....View attachment 87592.....you can wear your pride soon, some will be on there way tomorrow... i will be pming the rest and can send thurs...chicago pickup avail as well

Looking good :)

back to shorting and adjusting

The fastest way to get rid of the shorts is to get a small flat screwdriver and move the coils gently while they are glowing till you get them glowing evenly. This way you can see the shorts go away and won't have to adjust / test / adjust / etc. so much. :)

Also, make sure you keep the spots that are shorting well covered in juice so that the coil does not "pop" on you while adjusting. This will also help remove shorts between the mesh and coil.

Good luck and happy modding :)

I'm sorry there are those that are still having issue with their Zenesis. :( I don't know if any of this will help, it may have been already suggested but here are some things that really helped me with mine.

Used to get dry hits myself, I'd hold the mini upside down, let the juice drip from the wick and then get a few good vapes before I'd hit dry again. I fixed that issue, no more dry hits, just good stuff and I did NOTHING to my mini, I changed the way I was holding it.

Before I held my mini almost vertical while vaping it. Never held a cigarette that way but during my almost 2 years of vaping, I got into the habit of holding my devices up to my mouth like it was a microphone. After pondering what I could do different without tearing everything down again, I thought about how I could keep that wick wet.

I then had a ah ha moment with my mini Zenesis and thought, keeping the wick immersed in the liquid while vaping would surely end the dry hits and it did. No more dry hits and all I had to do was change me, change the way I held it.

Now, I hold my mini straight out in front of my face, horizontal, parallel to ground. The vent hold in the cap is in line with my wick and they face the floor too. This way, my wick is totally immersed in the eliquid when I'm vaping it and it's awesome now!

I love my mini so much now, I'm kicking myself for not getting the standard as well when I ordered.

I'm glad you found a way to get it to work for you, but personally I'd rather not have to think about which way my vent hole is facing every time I take a drag - that would get old to me in very short order.

I'm sure Zen's design does not require this sort of orientation, although I haven't got mine to produce a satisfying vape yet, I have faith in the design.
