I picked up a spare quartz but do you think I should have a couple polys around, too? I have (gasp!!! 8-o) already dropped this once, snapping a ming tip......:(

It is sounding like having at least one poly tube around is a good idea. Since you have a backup already, you could probably wait until Zen has the poly ones available - BUT, you could always keep a 20ml syringe around and just hack it up if necessary . . . . ;)

Yes I put the washer in. I did not have it there at first but put it in and then set it down and I heard it crackling.

In the futzers defense, I think we are so used to messing with our devices so much that sometimes these habits are hard to break.

I think in my case I keep thinking i can get it to work just a little better.

Also, I think for myself, that messing with them is part of learning how they work and just trying to get a basic understanding of this type of device. For those who have owned these types of devices some of the basics are already known. For me what is a basic piece of information to zen or lorderos is a completely new piece of information for me. I am not frustrated by these things that I bring up, but rather fascinated.

I know the point for zen was to set up and make these devices as simple as he could. He wanted to take all the futzing out of them. He did that. But for me, messing with them and learning what makes them tick is part of the fun.

Take your washers out if you like the low resistance. I don't have any washers so didn't use any and mine don't fire when sitting in the PV holder. :) I love having to barely push the switch to fire these. SOOOO smooth and easy.

with either the washers in or out, it still wants to fire while standing. I have not decided to do because I love the low resistance feel, but I have to stand it.

I found these mod holders on a site I heard CB talking about Friday night.

Search Results : L Js E-Smokes, Electronic Cigarettes

good luck

FWIW, I have actually been in LJ"s brick and mortar store in FL. The owners are good people. If you place an order tell them "the guy with the big B on his shirt said their standup folks".
Cardslinger, I just noticed your location... They are less than an hour from you. You could get shipments the next day. BTW, I am in no way affiliated with them, they are a small business of good people who could use some word of mouth.

yeah, they were.

maybe my juices are just heavier than the rest of yours? also, I am a bit confused (shocker :)) Some say to put the washer in and some say out.

Well, the only reason I didn't use them is because I don't have any. I think it's used to make contact even easier than it is. It's not a must have.

I still have to give a slight push on the switch to contact the battery. There's no way mine could fire without that final push.

well, guess who has to use the low resistance now?

me. I just went to change out the magnet, and one of the smaller ones snapped into four pieces :)

I guess that makes the decision easier.

Well, that sucks! Good thing he's selling magnet sets on the new site, eh? I have 12 of those. I can send ya a couple, if you'd like them. Just let me know.

Here are the magnet sizes:

The sizes are 1/2" x 1/4" x 1/8" and 1/2" x 1/4" x 1/16" (O.D X hole x thickness)
