My husband is an ex-cigar smoker and really misses them. He started vaping because I did. :)

I was a regular cigarette smoker, but LOVED a good cigar once in a while.
I have three humidors full of various premium cigars that I keep maintained at the proper humidity and temp. I haven't had the nerve to try one since I switched to vaping, but I may just have to break down and have one to celebrate my one year mark.
Cigarettes were the addiction, cigars were a pleasure and an indulgence, so I really can't see having one now and again being a problem.

So I'm going to pop in and clear up some things...

The March Delivery PV list will close on Feb 13, unless it sells out before that time. The person that mentioned there were 8 spots left, well... That was for the March atty list which closed a while back. Standards will likely close before minis, but they are running pretty even.

The finish samples are in, and I have punished them severely looking for how they show fingerprints and scuffs... I have made a decision and as stated before, I'm not revealing it. I really feel I have made the choice that presents the PV as a true high end product... It will look incredible!

Somebody mentioned cigars...

Fine Cigars are one of the most amazing pleasures that life has to offer. For me, the time spent enjoying an exquisite cigar with friends cannot be traded away for a PV... While I enjoy spending times with vapers at gatherings, I see no harm in partaking in the occasional cigar under special and memorable circumstances. Perspective is a good thing! A couple cigars per year doesn't turn anybody into a bad person... Quite to the contrary!

My husband actually gave away his Humidor packed full of his favorite cigars. I think he may be regretting that kind deed right now. I just bought him some ecigars Cohibas from ePuffer and he really liked them! EXCEPT, the first one lasted less than a day @ $30 a pop....we won't be buying those anymore. :( Pure junk and ePuffer is ignoring my emails.

Sorry about the misinformation, zenmaster! I really need to learn to mind my own business. ;)

I may just go and buy a couple of real cigars for Mr. vicsan to indulge in. Smoking, in general, was starting to bother him, so he quit when I did. He was never a big cigarette smoker (more a moocher, than a constant cig smoker), but LOVED his cigars.

Damn!! Gone for a few days and 300+ post were added:blink:

A little while back this was posted:

The four ways to lower the price:

1: use lower quality materials... For this product line this option is unacceptable

2: use cheaper labor, or less of it... Not possible in this country

3: increase quantity... Done

4: make it smaller... Done

There is a fifth one that you can add as well:

5: a design change that doesn't compromise original quality of product

When you said you wanted the price to go down to $150 - I looked on your site to see what the prices were again and saw that your Z-atty-U's are $125

That got my thinking, maybe you could make a Z-atty-Z.
Where the tank-atty are surgical grade stainless steel that would tread onto a lower cost, but high grade, aluminum battery tube.
If anything, that could possibly get you below the $200 price range.

Just thought I would give my :2c:

Besides my perpetual backsliding into cigarettes, I'm also a cigar smoker. I have a humidor the size of a bureau with over 1000 cigars and have averaged close to a cigar per day for many years. I started vaping because after 22 or so years of pack-a-day cigarette smoking I stopped for over 3 years and then, like an idiot, started again and have not been able to fully stop since. From Day 1 of vaping, I haven't smoked a cigarette, smoked a pipe, or used the Snus (Swedish chewing tobacco) I used with some regularity as well. I simply stopped getting nicotine from analog-style sources and started getting it from vaping.

The amazing thing to me is that, quite unintentionally, vaping has also nearly eliminated my cigar smoking as well. Since mid-December I've had 4 cigars and those were at a weekly meetup with a bunch of friends I've been smoking stogies with for years. I had no intention of giving them up but the truth is that I have virtually no desire for them anymore. In fact, I am in the process of inventorying my collection so that I can sell it. I expect I'll keep 100 or so of my best, rarest, and most well aged cigars to enjoy now and again like Brewzz and Zen~ mentioned above, but I'm going to part with the rest as well as around 75 aging tins of pipe tobacco and about 30 tins of Snus.

I know we all have our own stories and each is important and unique but I can hardly describe how stupefying this process has been for me. To have vaping basically instantly remove my desire for all products based on tobacco in its natural (and, in the case of cigarettes, decidedly unnatural) form is so shocking that I sometimes don't believe it myself. And yet it's true. Amazing.

Anyway, each of the 4 cigars I've smoked in the past 2 months or so has been enjoyable but, honestly, a bit less so than before I started vaping. Mostly this is due to the fact that it is winter in Minneapolis so we are relegated to smoking inside and the sheer volume of smoke, even in shops that have excellent air exchangers, is far more noticeable to me now than it was before. But part of it is that I simply don't quite enjoy them as much as I did before. That I am not sad because of this is perhaps the strangest revelation of all.

So Brewzz: have a cigar, see how it works for you, and let us know.

Further down the thread this option was discussed... Reminder though... A z-atty would not have a battery tube... Only a zenesis will have a battery tube. Z-attys are atomizers

@Sinnyc

For me, a cigar is an event... An exceptional cigar shared in the company of old friends is one of my favorite escapes.... That said, it happens for me two or three times per year when a group of old friends gathers either in LA, Chicago or Vegas... We smoke a great one, have an amazing steak or lobster or both, and remember stories from the past.

I simply cannot imagine these gatherings without a cigar. But cigs are done for me, and they shall remain done. I vastly prefer vaping to cigarette smoking!

So... Speaking of fine things...

If by chance I was to have a small run of titanium 18650 standards made, would there be any interest... And would a mini be preferred over the larger standard size... I would only be able to justify one size.

Thoughts?

So, I know we discused shipping and how the zenesis standard would not fit into the small flat rate box because of the case. My question is, will the package used fit into a standard mailbox? Or, am I gonna have to dig my new PV out of my snowy doorstep?

It will fit in a standard mailbox.
