You poor thing. zen~ should just make an extra Zenesis for February delivery...just for the ob! We need to alleviate your stress load.

my plan has not worked so far I thought the squeaky wheel got the grease. I guess the squeaky wheel did not get the zenesis.

Also have you thought about engraving SN's on the Zenesis? Starting at 0001 and going up, as the design may change slightly over time. Others will know which are the originals (lower numbers) and which have newer improvements on them.

As far as sending me titanium bar stock, the shop (most shops) will not take outside material, even if it has mill certification statements... largely because they figure part of the profit from material mark-up.

And I don't want to upset them by asking. I get pretty good pricing from both the shops I work with because I come to them with good designs, and I understand that they need to make money too, so I'll only grind them on price if they are WAY out of line... yet then never are way out of line!

I personally am not a huge fan of serial numbers on pv's. Especially where they are visible or are on the main body of the pv. I won't own a GG for that reason. As far as the pyrex tanks, they are an unnecessary part. I buy pv's with the intent of using them, not babying them. Most of my pv's take great falls from my pockets and I like to know that I can pick them up, curse the new scratch and keep on vaping. And if I break a tank window, my plastic tanks crack, not shatter and there are no sharp edges to pick up after the fall. My SS Don took a fall from thirty or so feet and all I had to do was replace my carto, remove the snapped connector from the Don and keep on vaping. I won't own a mod that can't do that. So I own no Provari's, GG's or any other delicate mods. My one vv mod is a simple box mod. If dropped, the batteries fall out and the door pops off...

I take your point but I think serial numbering, or at least identifying the model revision, is a good idea so they can be positively identified down the line.

If I do serials, you won't see it unless you are REALLY clever about where you look... for me, Serials would be more for record keeping than anything else.

My friend has used his ProVari for a hammer... it's far from delicate!

So as founding member of the Marchies support group, I have to find a way to constantly keep my spirits up while all my Feb friends get excited about getting their invoices tomorrow.

I am also starting a group for those who have decided to purchase the TI standard. I am once again founding member. That is not because I am the coolest, but because I currently am on the list for TI #1.

Who's coming with me? (Jerry Maguire) reference for those younger viewers.

You guys do not even want to know how many of these I have on pre-order. It might give you a heart attack. Needless to say you will see me on the classy's today selling some stuff I do not need.

I am completely familiar with the properties of pyrex... If you put stainless steel in the middle, and the stainless expands, the tank will break. Yes you can drop it and abuse it... I know this... you cannot use it way it would need to be used as the tank on a Zenesis.

If I make the PV out of Delrin, then you're good to go. Stainless... not a chance!

Given the design of the tank section of the current production PVs... Pyrex will NOT be stable in climates where it can go from warm indoor temps to freezing out door temps.

Another thing one must worry about with Pyrex...extreme temperature changes from HOT to COLD/WET. That will shatter Pyrex. It explodes, actually. I know from cooking with the stuff. Would it shatter if you're vaping outside on a -10 degree day? I don't know. Or if you drop it in a snow bank after you just took a toot? Probably would. Would the tank itself get that hot though? I dunno. Not only do you have to wonder about the metal expanding and breaking it, but Hot to Cold/Wet temp changes should also be a concern. Just my 2 cents after cooking with it and exploding some of it myself. It's tough stuff, but extreme temp changes are not good.

I can't give you that... I suspect we will have enough names to do the run by the end of March... so delivery would be April some time... but that depends entirely on getting at least HALF the units pre-sold and on deposit. Which means... another 8 need to pre-sell... yours would take it to 7.

Thats the best I can estimate.

I will commit to sending the order to the shop once 12 units are on deposit.
