Your battery IS YOUR PV... The rest is all about getting the current from your battery to the heater coil. Every PV on the market does this reasonably well. Some are better than others, but all do it acceptably well.

Everything else is window dressing... all of it.

If you go to the mad vapes site, and buy a Bolt PV for 40 bucks, and stick an AW 18500 battery in there it's going to vape EXTREMELY well... if you stuff a cheapie battery in there it will become lackluster in performance and safety is out the window.

Changing ONLY the battery makes the difference between a super safe and well performing device and a dangerous pipe bomb that doesn't vape all that well.

I agree. I have a couple of Maxi RoughStack V2's that are home-only pv's. I run 1600mah AW IMR 18650's in them both and they work very, very well. I've run them with Ultrafires, generics, and 4.8 NI-MH's with spacers as well with results ranging from acceptable to poor. I find that the AW's give me the consistent vape and seem to perform best in terms of steady discharge rate and battery life.

Question:
why does this thread always turn into a what battery is better thread? enough with batteries!!!! back to the topic of hand.....
answer:
I've noticed that people REALLY don't like being told that their battery choices are limited to a single brand... People fought with ProVape when they said the AW battery was the only appropriate battery for the ProVari, but until they found one other cell that had sufficient performance, the AW was the only battery that could handle the load of that circuit with a load on it.

If you want to see a ProVari behave badly, drop a surefire silver in there... The PV will shut down with no warning on a regular basis. The same can be said for Trustfire, they just don't cut it in a ProVari under common conditions
that's about it...

I hope I'm not too late for the standard march list. I sent the email requesting to get on a list. I just caught up on this thread and I decided that I want to choose Zenesis as my first rebuildable atomizer.

burnside is the proud recipient of one of the mods I sold to make room for the many I have ordered from here. (darwin)

I hate to quote a tv show that will show my age, but burnside, I think you missed it by that much.......

I have both... I honestly have not noticed a huge difference in performance... Too close to call.

And I've been looking for a tactical flashlight with a remote for my AR 15... If I like it I'll grab two more for the carbon 15 and the TAC-22

Already prepped for the zombie hordes... Tactical 12ga, ar-15 fully outfitted and 9mm sidearm loaded with razor claw hollows ;) Zombies are the least of my worries, lol.

Good lord this is a long thread...
Greetings from Camp Casey in S. Korea!
I've been using exclusively 14500 mods up till now and was gonna buy another but ran across this thread read through about 40 pages then went to the last few pages, and am VERY interested. This looks like a nice mod and looks like it would solve a lot of my current issues I have with, cartos (filler...), attys (dripping is inconvenient), Clearos (nice taste but leaks when on their side) etc etc.

I have some questions for a patient (sic?) soul to answer...
How long is the wait list for the standard? If I get on the list now how long should I expect to wait? I'm using a cheap vv box mod now...
I saw much earlier in the thread where the kick was being discussed, is it even necessary since the atty is bult into the mod and is built the way you want? I've never used a rebuild able atty or SS mesh wick. I assume you can control the heat and throat hit with the number of wraps you put on the wick...
Does this thing leak at all? I like clearos, but they leak if they fall over in my ACU pocket so I'm stuck with carto tanks... Filler is yummy.
How long does a new SS wick and kanthol last?
Is this thing durable? I have a aluminum, mechanical bottom feeder, yes that one, the mini version, that I know I can't break on deployment or field, same durability here?
Will this fit in the upper right pocket of the ACU top?
would it be better to just get the universal atty tank instead? Whats the wait time on that? I don't care about the appearance, I just want a dependable, durable vape that doesn't require a lot of fiddling.

I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions, so please forgive my ignorance.

Ok now I am a tad bit worried. I havent received a confirm from Zen about the payment yet. I know he is busy now, just wondering if all febbers have received a confirm and I some how accidentally fell off Zens list of something?

To the more educated lot here, I have some questions: Can the Zenesis be kept in a lying down or upside down position for prolonged periods of time? Since the Zenesis has 2 holes on the top of the tank, 1 for the wick and one to fill, would the juice not flow into the atomizer chamber and eventually leak out?

Are the magnets in the switch strong enough to not require a lockout mechanism even for everyday pocket carrying? This is the only thing that concerns me a little about the Zenesis. Maybe someday Zen can make a lockable switch module :2cool:?
