Still hoping someone tells me the secret to filling a tank without the stuff shooting out of the wick.

I have not even come close to mastering this thing. Totally not working right. just trying to be patient and figure out how I can get the bottom coils to glow at the same time as the rest.
ob, this afternoon I did a little fiddling with my wick and coil. I opened up the wick (it was pinched shut when I got it) using the syringe included with my Zenesis. I'm wondering if now I could insert the syringe into the wick when filling (slowly) to avoid the backflow??? I'll give it a try next refill.

Okay, I'm thinking the coil is fine... no metal taste. I just have to figure out how to get it wicking properly. If I hold it slightly tilted up when dragging, it's nice. Held regular, not so much! Definitely gotta figure out the wicking issue now that I've ruled out the coil. And man, when it hits good, it is soooo good! Gotta get it working properly all the time!
pchela, I was having the intermittent dry hits, and decided to try something a bit different. After getting the coil glowing as evenly as I could, I took the battery out, turned my Zenesis over to soak the wick, then lit the mesh on fire. I let it burn for a good minute or 2, tilting it when it started to get dry so it would keep burning. Now it's wicking great, and no bad tastes!

I had tried turning it upside down and holding the button, but I was still getting a lot of funky hits, so I thought I should get a bit more drastic.

4 coils... it's Zen's setup. Haven't messed with it yet. Can you put a paperclip through it while it's wrapped? I've pulse fired and burned juice off a ton.
I used a pair of tweezers to pinch open the top of the wick, then used the syringe that came with it to open the wick up. It inserted all the way into the tank, so I'm sure it's clear all the way. It didn't hurt the coil at all.

:grr:
Sneaker, now that I know you're having issues with your gear, it doesn't bother me at all! :)

Yeeaahhhh......about that.....I need a new Ggts. I have a g atty coming but no Ggts anymore :(

anyone notice that their juice in their tank will get darker as you vape?

why is that? I have a juice that is fairly clear and darkens as the tank gets lower? is it heating up somehow?

have ya even blown clearish juice outta a older carto or atty, the air, light heat and burning of the juice will do that in about anything

Mmmm what do you find the best way to steep. I do a lot of DIY, well actually I've been vaping for over three years and have only bought juice once and received juice with kit once. I was gonna buy a few just to get some new tastes. I should rephrase that....to see what they should taste like in my Zenesis.

hey willowize...
i steep mine by making about 50 mls in a 75 ml wide mouth bottle. i shake it up really well. i leave it uncovered in my closet for a couple of days. after 2 or 3 days, i cover it and shake it up really good again. i then uncover and leave it open for the balance of a week. at the end of day 7 i cover and shake the bejesus out of it one last time. then i leave it covered it's ready.
then again.... sometimes i mix, shake and vape. (usually when i haven't planned ahead) 1 week is normally my plan...

its a coconut- pear flavor, more on the coconut side....definitely needs time to steep and let the flavors meld. I had to try a sample of it before steeping, and it's the first time for me trying it myself, thx to recommendations by a few friends ;) edit: I had actually made my first RAWR order last week, picked up the Truth Serum, Dawn of Truth and Love Potion... Rawr Mike thew in a sample of Hawaiian Delight as well ;)
Truth Serum is one of my top 3 right now! It was probably a yellow/orange when you got it. When it goes more orange its ready.

so.... what's all of this negative stuff tonight? one thing that i have thought since i came around is, "it's nice to see how into Mike's stuff all of these folks are. it's like he has a bunch of beta testers that are happy to share their experiences with him and other people".
i'm sorry you're not getting that vibe from this group of folks, rshack. i'm sure that if you post a specific question, one or more of them will try to give you a helpful response. my recommendation to you is try to avoid sniping someone for what they may have said in another post. many of these people have been swapping ideas and experiences with each other for a while. it may even come off as aggressive sometimes but remember that many of us know each other and will occasionally barb with each other in jest. cheers!

this is true. I almost bailed at one point because everything I said was really dry and sarcastic and people kept taking it the wrong way.

the thing about this thread, and the people on here is that we have become friends. It is sometimes harder to forge online friendships because what you are trying to say, and how it is read are two different things. Some of us have spent significant time on here and with that, our personalities have finally shown through. This has come with some trial and error of course. Also, I assume that if we all met, the personalities would be even more clear.

It is hard to jump into any group of people that have been around and taken the time to try to get to know each other. I can say that I felt comfortable immediately with this group because there are a lot of smack-talking irreverent people that have been drawn to this device. That probably comes from the maker Zen. He is a high quality individual who also is a bit of a smart-.... That being said, this is a very helpful, friendly and welcoming group.

Rshack, I think what happened is that your first post came off as a little negative which in turn made people defensive. We all feel strongly about each other and protective of this device. These feelings have come from working through some of our issues over many posts. We have already hashed through this sensitive issue and when it was brought up again, peoples haunches came up.

I hope you continue to be active here. We really like each other and also want to welcome everyone who is interested. I think if you give us some time, you will grow to love me (er I mean us :)) kidding. see always a smart ... comment.

You will also find that even though there is a lot of chit-chat, if you ask a specific question, even if it has been answered a million times, people will jump to help. trust me, I do it all the time :)

very well said, ob. you echoed my point exactly. it was a wordy, self indulgent explanation, but i've learned to expect that from you....

yes, a big part of the reason why i drive for over an hour to hang out with Zen, Shaitaan and others is because we all have a healthy dose of smart-... in our personalities which makes it worth the drive. lots of laughs! based on what i've read from you, you'd feel at home for sure....
