The only blue county in Texas!
Here you go Jager

In due time.

Just alittle insight into my life. I know this is a great juice and I want everyone to try it. Did you guys read karma's review? He compared it to boba's. That's big! I think everyone should try it and I would love to send samples out to everyone. But, I do not have time or money to do that. The next option is to sell it, and I have considered this. But once again I don't have time or money to get it all set up. I am trying to work some things out but it will take time which is lacking. Have I mentioned I have 5 kids and my oldest is 8. That's where all my time and money goes. That and to this thread and my zenesi. I want to get this juice out to you guys but I have to do it right. So bear with me as I work through things.

You can't yet. Only a few special people have tried this magical elixir so far

I don't mean me either btw :)

I have been trying to be fair on who gets samples. Most of the samples are won in contests. There are few Others that I have let try it. Such as:

Karmachine- because he's karma

Bumpi- because he traded for a shirt

Cigarbabe- because she wanted to try it before having contests for it on her show.

I am not assuming that I am being accused of not being fair, so don't take it that way. Just wanted to state that I am trying to be fair. To date I have shipped well over 150ml and asked nothing in return except for reviews. As money and time permits I will be getting more out.

OK, here was my first go.. bout 50% normal flavor, 50%.. off.. I guess that's "new coil taste"?

Can you see any issues that might be causing problems? I know the coil is ugly, but it's not glowing unless I really keep it on for a while.. feels like a bit weak on the vapor production, not sure.. The wick itsn't touching the top post, like it may appear.. I did have to snip the top of the wick with cutters, since it was too long.

Might want to try this at 720p / full screen to really see the coil..

Hi Brandon,

I think the vid is a great idea, but we need to see the coil glowing. We never really get to that point. Is the Kanthal making contact everywhere on the wick? I can't tell, but it looks like you may have a spot where the Kanthal isn't making contact. If that's the case, you might have to wrap another one. If it is making contact, read on.

If you're having issues with taste, it's either a short, or wicking. There shouldn't be any "new coil" taste for more than a couple of drags.

If it's a short, you may well have a distinctly metallic aftertaste. I experienced that when I had a short.

To see if you have a short, dry fire your Zenesis until the coil is glowing. After the juice is burned out of the wick, the coils should glow evenly. If you have a spot on your coil that is noticeably brighter, move the coils--gently, with something like the blunt filling needle, and fire again. Move them after you have fired, as the heated coils will be more malleable. Again, just give them a little nudge. Also, if you have a spot on your coil that isn't glowing at all, that is definitely a short. The area directly behind the section that isn't glowing is where the short is happening. Again, move the coil a bit. and be sure to look on the back side of the wick--behind the posts.

If the issue is just wicking, you'll get a dry burn, and it will be just that to some degree--a very dry/off taste. To help speed up the break in of your wick, with the cap off, dry fire your Zenesis til the wick is glowing hot, now til it upside down and quench that wick in juice. Tilt it back up and let it sizzle. To take it even further, with the cap still off tilt it again until you can see the wick saturated with juice, now pulse the fire button and sizzle that juice off. You do not want to dry burn it at this point, you just want to sizzle off the juice on the wick.

Now spend a bit of time tiling and firing, the whole time just frying the juice on the wick. You can tilt it back up if you're getting too much juice, and you can stop firing if the coils is getting too hot. You might want to do this over a rag or paper towel til you get the hang of it.

I did notice that the top of your wick still looks tall. It can be no taller than the top of the center post. If it's touching the top cap, you will get a short.

Also, take something metal and sharp--I use a good-sized open safety pin, and open the top of the wick. You want it open on both ends--like a straw.

There are good vids by Zen~ That show what a properly firing coil looks like. Also, check out the Issues For Early Adopters thread in the Social Group.

I know it's frustrating when you see other people raving about it and yours won't work. I was in the same place a short time ago. Stay patient, stay positive, and go through it step by step--first no shorts in the coil. After that, worry about wicking.

Let us know how it goes.

You should know me better by now.

I was just being a smart .... Not accusing anyone of anything.

I honestly had no idea who or how many people have tried it so far.

See , you went there. Even after I told you not to. LOL!

I know you were not accusing. I didn't want others to take it that way.
