Btw if you guys have not tried ecblends all natural and organic butter rum, I vape 12mg and this stuff is just so phenomenol. It is like a butter rum lifesaver. 4 personal acquaintances have bought it and it is by far the best tasting vape I have ever had. 6 vendors and at least 5 dozen different flavors and this is the best I have ever had. Of course I have yet to try Zens juice yet or the fabled pluid but this is the only juice I have ever been certain that I could not vape without.

So I finally got the post loose.

Noaloxed the threads etc. Took apart the switch. Nothing is touching anything that it should not touch.

Still weird firing issues. Have not had any of those yet.

Any other recommendations?

I am trying to avoid sending zen the dreaded "PM". I think in zens case PM should stand for pester me :)

What kind of weird firing issues ob?

Ah but you're saying this without trying a Zenesis first, right? The Zenesis is not the same as the eastern European mesh/coil rebuildables. You'll see once you get one in your hands!

Can you elaborate on this Zen? How so? I'm coming from those Genisis myself and having never tried yours I'm curious.

I'm looking forward to getting my ZAP from you. One thing about some of the Genisis models over there I do not like is the use of silver wire vs screws for the connections. I like that yours are tightened w/ an allen wrench.

I want to clarify what I was trying to say to tiff last night. I sent her a PM but will recap it here for everyone to see. I hope the tone of my post came off ok. I was not trying to be sarcastic or weird or anything. It is hard to post and have the tone come off properly sometimes.

I think what I was trying to say is that voltage, ohms, resistance and all of that stuff does not apply the same way with these devices as it does with others.

If you want a hotter vape, take a wrap off. If you need a new battery, you will just know it. I think all the stuff that has been hammered into our heads in the past does not necessarily apply to these.

This is a simpler way to vape. I am not saying that using the z-attys is not a valid way to go. Is there some advantage to using a VV device? I am not sure there is. There may be for some people.

I hope you did not take the post in any way other than how I intended it. It is hard to put into words what I mean.

I think in the past these genesis devices have been limited to a select few. One of the reasons is that many probably felt that you had to have some knowledge of electronics or a advanced science degree to use these. The unfortunate thing is that if you had one, and had used it, you found that they worked and vaped better than any conventional device.

Zens idea was to simplify the process by providing everything you needed and to make it as user friendly as possible. One of the things that comes with that is to throw out a lot of what we have been focusing on and have spent a lot of time learning and just get back to the basics by feeling what we need.

I as some know, have had major difficulty in the DIY area. I am a person who wants a exact recipe and I want to follow it to the letter. whenever I post about this the responses are always to just drop, taste and then drop again till I like it. This is difficult for me as I am not someone who can do technical things by feel. That same advice applies to the zenesis. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the easiest ones.

I think for new folks coming here our "just vape it" posts can come off as rude. We have spent a lot of time getting these keep is simple messages and I think we finally get what zen is trying to say. For those who have not been here or used one or are still trying to apply the information they have received over the last months, or years, trying to back off and forget all that they have learned is difficult as it was for us. We should remember to have some patience with them and explain it in the way it was explained to us.

just my 2c. I hope this makes sense as I am still waking up.

edit. yikes. when did I become the voice of reason on here? I do not want this job :) I want to go back to just being a smart ... :)

I'm not trying to answer for Zen~, but another thing besides the screws for the posts is the adjustable air passage that draws air closer to or away from the coil.

Last update on May 6th... "Z-atty Pro needs a metal finish which will take about a week." Does this mean that they will be on the site on Monday as well? If not do you have another update for us? Sorry to bug you, but I am just so sick and tired of using stuff that has a mind of it's own.

it was shorting (sparking at the switch)

It is not doing that any longer, but I am getting misfires that I was not getting before and it is not hitting as hard.

Look at the gap in the switch, I find that mine gets a ring of black dots where the bottom of the switch gets pushed up into the sleeve section, I think this is from where the electrical connection takes place from what zen said a while back....I clean that ring every few days and it seems to help with firing consistency and strength of hit....if that area where the connection is usually made is oxidized by that residue, the electricity will try and jump the short gap instead to make the connection...

Before I noticed and started doing this I was having some of the same probs you are having now...also when I was over concerned with pushing button straight up I saw it arch or spark a few times as well..

..if you give the electricity a clear path it will not try to find its own, hope this helps bud

I don't have any noalax, so haven't tried that yet, but I would assume that after cleaning that may help keep it from building up again.....I use a teeshirt/fingernail method most of the time and it does the trick, the first time I took it apart and used one of those nail file things (I think that's what peeps call an Emory board) to get it totally clean.. your 1500 grit sandpaper should do it tho.... Now I'm not worried about getting it perfectly clean, I just wipe most away, it still has dots in a circle, as long as its not a ring the whole way around

Edit... Like a lot of things here, not an exact science, can be done easily or you can fiddle more if desired lol

This is my backup plan if no minis or standard are available.

Air flow is what got me interested in Zens' design. Mac has put out some great vids showing his devices after he tuned them for air flow. The fact that the Zenesis didn't need any tuning sold me. :)
