Your tank went black, that is a sure sign that something is not working right. If the wick is not touching the bottom of the tank then the switch, contact points and/or threads are dirty. I have seen this most often as a wick touching the bottom of the tank thing, but if that is not it then it can only be a weak connection somewhere not allowing the coil to get hot enough. Consequently, this also put a much larger strain on the battery and seriously affects battery life.

There is ONE other possibility and that is that the batteries are weak and not taking a full charge anymore. This will also cause all of your symptoms.

None of the batteries are over a month old... I have only been vaping for a month. The Mini is practically new. I'll stop tomorrow and pick up some emery cloth and clean the contacts. I think you are onto something with a weak connection because when I try to heat up the coils to red hot it takes a very long time... Like almost a minute.

grruss, you can use a pencil eraser to clean the contacts in a pinch. It actually works pretty well, just make sure you dust off the eraser poop!
