House of Hybrids featuring the Zenesis PV

So I started working on some avatars for peeps today.. I needed a 3D Zenesis to use in the renders so I modeled one. Of course I had to see how well it rendered before I use it for someone's avatar. LOL I just eyeballed the proportions and I don't have a standard in my possession to look at and Tim was at work with his Mawn tip, but I think I got close enough.

Looks pretty awesome... but I think you need to darken the shading on the right side of the tank section... that seems to be filled with... Pluid????

(Yes, for some reason, not quite off to bed yet... could be the kitty grumbling off to the side that the contractor put a heavy box of metal parts over the hole she used to dive down underneath the house early this morning... good contractors, them. )

Yeah, looks a little odd.. doesn't do that as much when I put the main light more toward the front but then the center post is completely obscured by the highlight. /shrug Light does what it wants.

I suspect the software is trying to differentiate between SS and acrylic (or whatever math model it's using for "clear tubing"), and it probably makes sense from a physics standpoint, particularly with the "backsplash" of light from the background... but from an "artistic" appearance standpoint, it looks like the tanks is about 1/8" bigger than the tubes at first glance.

That's where the human comes in, and tweaks physics around to match preconceived perception.
And then you become an "advertiser":

I feel compelled to say... I TOTALLY understand that statement!

It's not "boring"; it's a whole particular sort of talent that needs to be on board a person who is doing project management... or else you get crappy project managers!!! People seem to forget (or have never understood) that "management" is a unique, particular talent like "sales" or "engineering" or whatever - you don't build a successful company by just "promoting" someone who has been there a certain amount of time into "management".

Sorry; you pushed a "pet peeve" button. I'll shut up now and go to sleep, for real this time.

I totally understand the concept of supply and demand and profiteering but come on, a Z-Atty-G for $450!!!!!!!!!

Yes that person owns it and can do with it as they please but $450 for something that costs $139 new!!!!!

I know what everyone is going to say, if you don't like the price then don't buy it. Well since a Standard costs almost twie as much as a Z-Atty retail I may go and offer them a chance to buy my Standard for $900 and if they don't like the price then they don't have to buy it.

The very sad part is that someone will pay $450 for that z- atty. I've been tempted to give nearly that for an AYS, but can't bring myself to do it.

All I can say is that I buy pvs for personal use and never intend to resell. If I don't want/need something, I'll give it away to family or sell below cost to friends.

Whatever two consenting adults choose to do is none of my business and I really don't have an opinion on it one way or the other.

Be advised that Zen has stated that people that make $1 profit on his pvs will no longer be welcome on this thread.

I do reserve the right to poke fun at people that are funny.

I have never sold any of my stuff for a profit and if there was an idiot out there who would buy my Standard for $900 then I would keep my original price and Paypal the difference to Zen.

The discussions on trades are actually unnecessary. Zen has named his attitude towards it. Speculators do everything at the worst, either in the stock market or food prices in Africa. The only thing to do is to observe that the people act to avoid and report them to zen. I have been watching the same at goldengreek products, so i started to note all prices i've seen and make them public. Now everyone who is intressed got average of used GG prices. It is still too expensive, but 200$ for an iAtty is still better than 500$ because the people don't know values.

I will garanted sell in future some of my PVs to market prices. I got many, also i'm a little bit paranoid about the Euro a rare PV is still better than money on the bank. I sold an item before a month and 2 days later the buyer made 100$ more with it. I got integrity but i'm not stupid. But i respect zens wishes and rules so i can say, if a zenesis leave my home, only for Items and not for cash. Actually the zenesis mini is my favorite and for me it's important to fall not back to analogs. Anything else doesn't matter, vape to live better, safe money and health quitting smoking.

Hope that sounds not like i'm a bad person.
