i will definitely look into it...though i have to say i have switched it up quite a bit....and the worst seemed to be when i was more vertical...as i believe whatever the gunk is is just falling via gravity through the wick...the more at an angle the less gets into the tank...though it just dumps right in when i set it down upright

j_fro said it so right, although a bit cryptic... i've really been concentrating on keeping my APV at the 5 o'clock position. because i use a rather sweet caramel juice, it was browning quite a bit. the 5 position has been working like a champ.

Yeah.... mine is fine, I was trying to show him, if he sees it, that without any hot spots, I'm not getting any darkening.
Even with a really sweet juice.
I just kept nudging the coils around until I didn't get that dark stuff anymore.

I think his darkening was extreme though, it was even tasting bad.

Just a suggestion to help the guy out

Oh I know, was just adding to the suggestion box. Lol my juice was darkening before I cleanned out the switch and no ox'd it..

Yeah, he's right.. might wanna check everything is clean, also check the end of your batteries to make sure they're clean. less than perfect connections could cause the juice stewing instead of vaping.

this post is mostly for JAGGER, but the rest can read too :)

So I have been thinking more that I should have about your problem. I have a experiment I want you to try. Mind you, this has all been done before, and none of this is stuff I came up with.

I have read a ton about everyone maintaining their wicks and coils by taking the juice out, burning, dunking in water etc, but to be honest do not do it that often.

Last night I decided to do it with all my devices. I took mr. p's advice and used distilled water as well.

I took all the juice out and took a shot glass and filled it with distilled water. Held the button down till it was all glowing, I mean ALL the coils. Looked for shorts and corrected them if they were there. DId this four times. Filled them back up with juice and today the color of the juices was NOTICEABLY lighter and cleaner.

I wonder if you should try this. Mind you, I am using mostly jack frost wicks not too. Get it all good and hot so that it creates a lot of steam when you dunk it. hold it upside down so that the water does not go back in much.

let me know. In order to replicate exactly, use distilled water.

Cool, I like this idea, so the glass of distilled water was there for ambiance? Do you drink the shot of water at some point during this process? Is it to soak your button-pushing finger when it got tired? We need details you old ........

All this is very confusing -- all I ever do is dry burn and never clean out my tanks -- is this something you're supposed to do? I only change wicks when they break, same with coils......

Also, I vape in the 8 o'clock position....;)

you dont change anything. You take the juice out, fire it up till hot, and dunk the wick and coils in distilled water. do it four times.

it cleans it all off.
