Wow thats crazy! and to think I bought my lathe to attempt to build one, as Mr. Miagi once said 'you have much to learn young grasshopper' I have a feeling it might take me a month too build one

You can build one on a Mini lathe in about 5 hours.... not including polishing

It's easy....

Start with 5/8 Aluminum... Chuck it up... Bore out the battery area... Set the change gears for threading it.... do the inside thread... face off the end.... turn the OD.... part it off... turn it around and face it off... set that aside...

Pop some 3/4" stock in and turn the OD of the center post, then the O-ring grooves... then core it out... face it off... turn it around and face the other side... in a drill press drill the wick, filler and ground screw hole... tap that...

Now pop in your 5/8 stock, bore out the cap, face it off, part it off and turn it around to chamfer the top... face offf the top...

You're almost done...

Next... make the switch... 5/8 stock... bore it... turn the major thread size... thread it... build a fuxture to hold the part and turn it around and make the welll for the switch button.... part that off

Now make the button... do the post first then part it off, flip it and face off the bottom...

Now ya need some half inch delrin... make the switch bushing...

And start polishing!

Are you calling me a future "hose bag" for using msemma's zen

Your work flatters yourself. I'm just reporting facts. I don't know if I'm imaging it, but this device seems to slightly out perform my other Zens~ . The tolerances on the button and cap are superior.

It's hand fitted.

Even better glad it's the best of both worlds, I never hear anyone talk about dripping in here before

Well, there's not a whole lot of point in dripping once you can have the exact same performance from a tankful!

I haven't had the opportunity to gutter hop for quite awhile. This is more like me....I like it here.

What come's from the gutter shall return to the gutter... we are ALL gutter-dwellers at the real heart of the matter... some get out for a while... like Bill Clinton... others escape entirely... Like... ummm... Well... OK.... my theory needs some work... but I digress
