Good morning everyone!
I noticed got vapes just came out with a telescope mod (currently being restocked with safer ones) and a rebuildable tank. I know this is a mass produced china product but would it be a good learning device? I mean right now I am using an ego and vivi nova tank until I can afford/ the zen mini is available. I don't want to buy one of these completely blind and end up screwing it up.

I feel for ya there....I deal with the same for my job...with a daily rotating schedule, I could be in work at 4am, and other days start as late as 6pm and be back to work 8 hours after finishing my shift that night lol....I HATE early mornings for work, especially in that predicament
I really dont think you need to bro...I should say that most of us probably wouldnt be vaping these rebuildable items of awesomeness if it was otherwise
I keep a few atties around for my empire mod which I use to test out new DIY or vendor's juices and quick switch-ups when I'm out and about...

Avoid the telescope mod, even if they say it's safe once they put it back up I wouldn't trust it after the lies they (the chinese company) spewed until they were called out with evidence. Get just about any other rebuildable, just not from them. I've heard good things about the DID. Or hold out for a Zenesis, it shouldn't be long at all now until they are available to purchase in regular shops. It is by far and away the easiest rebuildable for a newbie since it comes already set up and running and has prerolled and oxidized wicks included.
I'm definitely a killer.....fresh fruit w/ venison steak and eggs.....YUM!!! LOOK OUT BAMBI'S RELATIVES, YOU"RE NEXT!!! sorry I prefer most wild game to commercially prepared meats lol.....

I recommend picking up a DID, they can easily be ordered from a web page or right off the classy's at close to reg price. Plus you will likely want to keep it even after getting mini. Just my experience.

Not sure Got Vapes had much if anything to do with the situation.. They're just a reseller. Smoketek was lying to us, they obviously were lying to Got Vapes too.

...they carry a LOT of cr@ppy gear IMO... and sure they do...they're in it for the money
do you seriously think that they didnt check them out first before selling them? come on now..they do video reviews of ALL their new gear...not only do they carry a ton of unacceptable gear, they are also over priced compared to others selling the same items...not one of your better vendors to say the least.

The tank isn't actually a "genesis" style tank.
If you consider mesh and wire to be genesis.
And someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
It uses wick and wire, similar to the Ody or Penelope.
Nothing wrong with that, of course, and I don't have one yet to tell you the differences, other than the two above use resistance and non-resistance wire, while I think this one only uses resistance.
I find it different, and more "forgiving" than the mesh and wire, in regards to how the wire is wrapped.
The taste is better than cartos, but not as good as the mesh type, in my opinion.
There are some mesh/wire rebuildables out there you may be interested in until you can get a Zen, that are closer to what you would find in a hybrid PV.

yeppers, the wick and wire type rebuildables are much better than carto's and CE2-types....quite a few know that I owned and used the Ody's and iattyv1's for quite a while, but no longer have them... the flavor is no different though from the CE2's as they use the same type of wick, but are more vapor production efficient. the wicks in them still retain juice that isn't vaporized and mutes the flavor...most of the time, when you have to change out the wick or coil for any reason, you have to replace both..... they do much better than the polyfil of course, used in carto's but definitely way inferior to mesh wicks...
