I ordered on the last go-round too ob. Have you gotten a shipping notice yet?? I haven't. :(

nope. I got nada. To be honest, I forgot I even ordered this. I have never ordered from them before, and might not again because of the time. It is hard to plan that far in advance. I know people love it, and will probably love it too. a month is a long time for juice. :)

They are supposedly working on something to shorten the wait. This is my first order too, and I've heard lots of good things about it. I'm just hoping I get my first order before it goes live again, so I'll know what I'd like to reorder.

Feel like the turd in the punchbowl here because you all seem to know each other, but I have a question about the hybrid you all seem to love. I have been vaping about a year and a half, and have been using a genesis style RAtank for about a month. I have set it up several ways, currently have 400 SS mesh with 33G kanthal 5 wraps at 2.8 ohm. It is knocking my socks off and makes me want to follow the natural progression Of rebuildables. I saw the interview of Zen with PBrusardo, and he seems to be a pretty solid dude. I obviously have been aware of the following for some time. Point. convince me why this is the best option of rebuildables. What makes a Zen so special? Is this just some elite mod, that is pretty, a status symbol, but vapes like an ego with a boge. Or, what is it. I tried reading this thread, and initially people were on point about this mod, be these last few pages, I can't follow. Anyway, not trying to ruffle any feathers, just wanting some good info, some stories of awakenings, etc. Also if anyone knows what wait time is like if an order from House of Hybrids were to be placed. Thanks to all of you.

it is really nothing that special. :) JK

there are many things that make it special including the man who made it. If you read early on, he kept adding features that he felt made the device better without adding cost to the orders that had been placed.

some quick bullet points things that make it great.

1) materials. Used the best he could find.
2) ease of setup. I have many devices and this is by far the easiest.
3) construction. Military grade threads and just feels amazing.
4) options.
5) us. Not being facetious, but this is a great supportive group. This group will help with any questions, and will also annoy and entertain you occasionally. Especially me and Ian74. for the annoy part I mean :) K-man, Vic and others will just be nice. :)

welcome my friend.

oh yeah, soon there will be distributors and you will be able to purchase from them.

kcos of "Mawn" fame is already the one for the z-atty-g (or b according to ripple :))

Hi, there! Been wondering what the brown fruit was, hmm....

I have been vaping about a year and a half, and have been using a genesis style RAtank for about a month.

Which RA? Some of the people here may own / have owned it and be able to compare.

400 SS mesh with 33G kanthal 5 wraps at 2.8 ohm.

Thou shalt not say the O word! No, really, Zen banned the word from the thread :)

convince me why this is the best option of rebuildables.

I don't know if it is "the best". I am a RBA newb myself and I have a couple only. Zenesis is definitely special and a lot of people seem to think it is one of the best. Your question reminds me of the silly ProVari vs. VMax and eGo vs. KGO wars in the newbie forum. I don't think it's the right question. The right question is why so many people are so crazily devoted to this device and why so many people swear by the fact that it changed their (vaping) life.

I think the answer lies in the HoH slogan: "Just vape it!"

See, you will meet the hardcore, bleeding edge mod connoisseur and the soccer mom who cannot set up the DVD player, the busy, skeptical business man who has no time to scratch his balls and the retired engineer hobbyist who can't find enough playthings to fill his time - they all are able to use and enjoy this device.

It is, truly, a PV that brought a fairly niche, enthusiast level device to "the masses".

It did so in several ways - one is by certain tweaks in the design that make it more "forgiving" than other gennies: it takes less art to wrap a coil and get it going right. Another is by Zen's amazing ability to tell a story - the story of the device which brings the gennies to the masses. He is so... compelling as an individual and as a story teller, that it takes you with him, through the initial frustrations and into a mindstate that allows various personalities who are not tinkerers, OCD hobbyists, etc. to do this. It's quite an achievement, really.

Now the device itself does have some optimizations - the off center wick and the exact manner in which the negative post is placed so as to minimize hotspots, the mushroom positive post and all that jazz about circular airflow - it is indeed a very powerful genny with massive amounts of vapor production and, probably its best quality: SHOCKING flavor.

And there is a base all this is built on: excellent machining, great materials, good quality control etc. It's a nice clean PV, very efficient and easy to use, etc. All the needed prerequisites are there.

Is it the best? Well, if you go to a more dedicated RBA forum, they will tell you it's not. Also, they won't be able to tell you which it is. They'll re-hash the newbie wars I mentioned up there, they'll let you know what they love and what they hate about various devices, but they won't be able to come up with a "best one" and I think it's just appropriate.

Some of Zen's personal beliefs and preferences are hardvoded into the device, and they may not sit well with everyone: no kick-ability, very strict tolerances for battery size, some oddities of the switch... Oh, well. If you just vape it, it will take you there, the vaping Nirvana, that is. If you start destructuring it into separate features, you'll go crazy trying to understand why it is such a sought after device... You could bypass that and go for a Z-Atty, but I think the Zenesis experience is fully enjoyed with a Zenesis PV.

There's more. This thread has a lot of good and some bad in it. People formed an interesting community. Zen is sometimes hard to live with, but sometimes it's hard to believe how wonderful he is. Some of his past gestures served to really cement a deep sort of relationship between himself and the fans. Some people hate him with a passion. It's all interesting to watch, but most importantly this place has been fostering a kind of community that brought some of the best things in some of the people here, to counterweight the horrible acts of greed and pettiness some others have performed in response to the lack of availability of these devices.

Oh, well.. that's just my view of this device.

It's not readily available right now - Zen is working to get partners to re-sell his products. The Z-Atty-G just started being sold by such a partner, and others will follow soon. He has invested in production equipment to ramp up the output and, hopefully, satisfy the crazy demand for his products once and for all.

Anyway, welcome again and happy vapes.

Hoping for a speedy recovery for you Landlord.
Thanks peach I am too..

Landlord, I'm sorry to hear about your back. The same thing happened to me once when I bent over trying to put on one of my former girlfriends shoes. The best thing you can do is to try and relive some of the stress in your lower back. There is one way that this can be done quite easily....You have to be extremely careful though, lest you end up with an x-ray like the one in my avatar.
Aw crap too late.. now what do I do? Lol
landlord,
I have not yet told you how sorry I am about your back. Back pain is a nightmare. No position is ever completely right.

sorry my friend. Hope it gets better. You should consider acupuncture. I swear it helps. it is also very "zen" :)

Yea I was also told to contact a chiropractor.. trying to avoid the emergency room. Copay is 150

Alright so I am waiting for a bunch of juices. I ordered Pluid and Cutter from murdock, smurph piss/vape the rainbow/ ecto plasma from juicy vapor. Hopefully I will like them. For some reason, I just cant love the ZAP as much as I wanted to. Its not the device but its just the airy draw. I cant get the same flavor as compared to my juices in other cartos or attys. Whats the usual break in period for a coil and wick setup

VERY well put, Elf. I totally agree with all your points.

Since I am one of the lazy, non-technically inclined users, I have to definitely agree that it it EXTREMELY easy to use and maintain. I don't tinker, I just use it as it came, and since it arrived with the setup Zen thinks is the best, I leave it alone. I figure that the person who dreamed it up, designed it, built it, and, after taking into consideration all the different options available, sent it out already setup perfectly, that's the person who knows this APV best.........So, I just vape it. LOVE the Zenesis.

Steve o, Ob, thanks for the welcome. I really am quite interested. I wanted to start with something in RA that was a little more cost effective before diving in. I would have to say that the RAtank opened my eyes again as to how good the flavors of a vaporizer can be, and after reading and discussing with friends felt like the zen would be a good choice. Tried and true, although this is one jam up looking piece of equipment, from what I understand function is priority #1. Glad to hear about retailers, will this expedite the production? I actually will probably look for the Z atty pro or the universal. I like the VV, and that gives greater options too for coil varieties. Again thanks guys for the welcome.
