The older DIDs had brass center post and nuts, new newest DIDs are all SS. Those that have the older DID can order a complete SS set of replacement parts to upgrade to full SS. Brass is fine as long as it doesn't get hot, unless you have a short to the center post there should be no issue. However I will be upgrading to full SS just for piece of mind, better safe than sorry I suppose.
I just looked up Brass and California has been fussing about brass keys that contain lead. The regulations have now been changed so that brass, which used to contain up to 4% lead can now only contain .25% (I think) lead..........yes, I have nothing better to do right this moment..........LOL

That's sort of when I lost my comfort level with it. It greened up fairly quickly. "DID" vape really well though.
hey johnny, i was in seattle last week, the gps directed me to a ferry, I drove more and took another ferry and finally landed in victoria. I'll be here for awhile.

Yeah that would disturb me as well. I have been using my DID daily for 3 months and it was just yesterday when I completely tore it down for a full cleaning and I had no green anywhere. I did have one place on the center post that was a darker color brass than the rest but brass is known to tarnish so I figured that was all that was. However I have ordered the full SS kit so once that gets here it will get upgraded.
Ok, went out for the evening and now I am caught up. Sorry I missed the conversation on CF. I did get to handle that one Zen made for himself and it was a standard who's battery tube had been machined down to take the cf "sleeve". The thing just feels so great in hand! I really - really loved it.

Very nice! It is beutiful here. The weather was awesome today. I love the scenery big mountains and the ocean.

I'm late on this and possibly confused (who, me? Huh, wha?) but isn't the case our SS Mini's came in Carbon Fiber? Or Carbon Fiber wrap or something?
And, FWIW, I'm not stalking or looking to purchase anything, either. Although, I am VERY excited about the progress on the BAM. Jumping up and down and shakin', lol. I don't post as much as many but I've read and will continue to read every single post in this thread and keep coming back because ya'll are all such great folk. You teach me things and you make me smile and laugh and I want to do the same for you. Zenfidels are the best peeps anywhere and I'll always come back, no matter how many devices I have. Oh, and I like s'mores, too....

Read - I don't have that case, but I believe it was (is) some sort of nylon/ other fabric made to look like CF - they would not be 10 dollars if the whole case was cf. Having said that, I did not manufacture the case, so anything's possible

Obviously I don't know much about it but it sounds like REAL Carbon Fiber is pricey? Hmmm, actually made from Carbon, er, ummm, fiber.... Carbon as in pre-diamonds?
