You're in Rockville, I see. I just moved to NY from Gaithersburg. I lived in Rockville for 3 years before that. We had a DC vapers group going just before I left.

Oh yeah? That's cool! I've been in Rockville for 3 years. It's not bad here. I'm originally from NY (not that far upstate, by Poughkeepsie), where did you end up moving to?

Oh, and I posted the only videos of Toby I ever took on youtube the other day. He was such a good dog. You guys can watch if you want...

I was just thinking, I wish I had asked Zen to engrave Toby's name on my BAM. With the date of his passing 9/3/2012. Not like Bradsbrotherstu's BOOMSTICK engraving, just nice and small like ASH did on his ASH edition with his daughter's name. I would have loved a Toby memorial edition. He was my little black furball, and my BAM will be my little black vapeball. Don't know if he would have done it, considering how swamped and busy he always is, but it would have been neat...

Wicking problem? Did you accidentally squish the wick?........Personally, I've never had a lot of luck with wick/coil cleaning. I don't think my cleaning has ever helped anything........YMMV

If I do anything other than a very simple dry burn I mess everything up, and wind up re-coiling.

Other than checking your screws, I'd have to refer to others' opinions, sorry MissEmma.

he sounds like a little tap dancer in that video Ian. :)

You can watch this one, the yapping covers the sound. He only barked like this at dinner. His I want to go out bark was different and so was his "where the hell do you think you're going?" bark when I left in the morning. I was never good about trimming his nails.

I'm in Rochester. I got so sick of DC after 5 years, it was definitely time for a change.

Sounds like you need to tighten the wire connectors or the switch is in need of a good cleaning.

And here we go. I cleaned my ASH, the coils were very gunky so got them clean as well as the switch and threads. Now...
N-O-T-H-I-N-G, Nada, zilch. I did manage to get one very thin wisp of vapor, but that's it. I changed batteries as mine are getting old....no help at all.

And....have you ever held the botton for a loooonnnngggg time to try to get it to fire and wondered if the coils were even warm? Then you touch the coils and they turn red at that very second? Yeah? Well, don't do that. I have a little coil mark permanently imbedded in my right index finger.

HELP?

Emma, if you did not pop the coil it is also possible you have a grounding issue. A bad connection on the ground side can cause the resistance to jump significantly. A 1.5ohm coil could easily to jump to over 3ohm, which is far too high for a 3.7v battery and may give the appearance of not working.

That's what I don't get. If you want to flip mods and make a profit OR to fund the purchase of other hiked up mods, that's okay... I mean it's not, not in my personal view, but that doesn't mean much: it's a free country, you are free to do asinine things.

What I don't understand is why do these people try so hard to both have their cake and eat it, too. I mean: you're doing the "capitalist" thing and do not accept the "nice", "communitarian" way. That's your choice. But have the freaking balls to stand by your choice. You are doing something that some people consider amoral. But you have made a choice, and you obviously do not share the same moral compass as those some people. Get over it. You can't please everyone, and sometimes your choices reflect on your character or reveal your character in ways that you won't like. Stop trying to justify your actions - it makes it worse. It says that you do get the moral reasoning behind those who shun you for profiteering. That, in turn, moves you from the amoral territory in the immoral one. When you do care about a certain type of moral judgement, and you still chose to act against it, you are by leaps and bounds worse than when your own moral judgement simply differs, or is absent, in a way that allows you to act that way.

/rant

(in fact I understand, it is a typical immature behavior whereby you are entitled at all times to both do what you want and be liked by everyone around)

Thanks, elf, it was your turn for a rant, well said......:)

The problem is I compare all the gennys to the Zens now. If it isn't close to the draw I either make it close or get rid of it. Lol

Is it really a problem? I think not..

Its what's killing me, I have had a katana, Line, Chopper, and bliSS (you get on lists and they just sort of happen!!) and sold them as soon as I could, I have tried a number of others (Gbell, DiD, scubagens) and haven't even bothered to own those, the ONLY one I am still considering is a hellfire but those aren't easy to get and I have sort of given up.........:)

My top screw sometimes loosens up on me, taht's always something to watch for, too......:2c:

Andy, you should be able to use 400 mesh with no probs

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure which mesh is truly better for what. I've been going off of what's in the HoH faq. The biggest thing is finding it for a reasonable price. HoH has a 6'x6' sheet for only $9.00. Can't find that deal anywhere else...

I think that is 6"x6". 6 ft x 6 ft would be insane for $9, and I don't know if anyone would really ever need that much.

From the site: "This is a 6"x6" (roughly) sheet of 325x325 Stainless steel mesh so you can roll your own wicks!"
