I agree with you guys on principal about ppl flipping, but I also don't believe there should be rule/policy on what is a justified profit. People put time following release dates, stay on list and often time, money in it for months before they see it. I would be surprise the forum would want to be in the business of policing who can make 10% profit and who can make 5% etc.
Now see I have a different take on the time I put in on a list or the money I spend on an item. I spend that time and money because I want the item and I make the decision to place my name on a list and wait. Nearly every list I have been on, and there are many, once I get on the list I don't have to even visit that thread again, when it's time to pay or process my order I get a PM from the seller. I get on lists because I want the item for myself and have no intention on selling or trading. If after I get the item I don't like it or it isn't for me (most commonly used phrase by flippers), then I don't expect the person I sell to or trade with to pay me for my time that I spend waiting. That is considered profiteering because the item is rare and takes time to obtain.....it didn't cost me any extra out of pocket money, and I chose to join the list and wait. If it truly isn't for me the most I should accept in sale or trade is what it cost me out of pocket.....not some imaginary price based on how rare or hard to find an item may be at that moment. Personally I don't care what the gougers do, as I will never pay more than I know it can be obtained for, by either waiting on a list or by waiting for the next time they come available on a site. What does piss me off, are those that are buying with only one thing in mind, flipping and making a profit. Those tactics take an item away from someone who may not have the $$ to pay 2-3 times its value, and keeps a true user from getting a
device that will continue to keep them off analogs and stay healthy.
