Voted.....although I don't think it will matter, there may be reasons we are not privy to as to why it remains the way it has been.

I don't see why they can't change the rules or at least put in place a limit of # of sales a person can make in a month , it wouldn't be to hard to moderate and smack someone for profiteering , as they seem to jump on comments about people overcharging and deal with it quickly

Nice. Maybe I will get the chance, maybe not. Either which way, if you can't be one you love, love the one you're with!

I agree with you guys on principal about ppl flipping, but I also don't believe there should be rule/policy on what is a justified profit. People put time following release dates, stay on list and often time, money in it for months before they see it. I would be surprise the forum would want to be in the business of policing who can make 10% profit and who can make 5% etc.

As much as it pains me and put me back for a few months in getting a ZAU, that thing sold in less than 5 minutes. Obvious people are willing to buy at that price so let business be business. I would much rather the forum administrator worry about creating a safe place to conduct trades and then be in the business of dictating them.

Would have been nice to offer it to me at the correct price.

The reason I simply moved on is that I assumed you would have a bad taste in your mouth about me. I figured even at the right price, you would not have the best of feelings purchasing an item from me, especially a somewhat expensive one.

They could change things easy enough, but if they really wanted to, I think they would have already done so. This isn't new, it's been going on since I got here and progressively has gotten worse. They see it, they see the negative comments from people in those threads, I am sure they get tons of PMs b!tching about it going on, but it still continues. Usually the people who support those that profiteer are also those that do the same. Yes something could be done.....but I don't think it will be. I don't know why, and I hope I am wrong.....time will tell.

Not at all. People make mistakes. I would have respected you for admitting that you misremembered the price. Nothing i can do now.

Now see I have a different take on the time I put in on a list or the money I spend on an item. I spend that time and money because I want the item and I make the decision to place my name on a list and wait. Nearly every list I have been on, and there are many, once I get on the list I don't have to even visit that thread again, when it's time to pay or process my order I get a PM from the seller. I get on lists because I want the item for myself and have no intention on selling or trading. If after I get the item I don't like it or it isn't for me (most commonly used phrase by flippers), then I don't expect the person I sell to or trade with to pay me for my time that I spend waiting. That is considered profiteering because the item is rare and takes time to obtain.....it didn't cost me any extra out of pocket money, and I chose to join the list and wait. If it truly isn't for me the most I should accept in sale or trade is what it cost me out of pocket.....not some imaginary price based on how rare or hard to find an item may be at that moment. Personally I don't care what the gougers do, as I will never pay more than I know it can be obtained for, by either waiting on a list or by waiting for the next time they come available on a site. What does piss me off, are those that are buying with only one thing in mind, flipping and making a profit. Those tactics take an item away from someone who may not have the $$ to pay 2-3 times its value, and keeps a true user from getting a device that will continue to keep them off analogs and stay healthy.

Have a quick question about the pre-made Zen wicks.

They are quite soft and I actually find them easier to work with then a stiffer wick. I've watched his videos and I know he doesn't quench which makes them a lot stiffer. Yet I can't quite come up with a thicker wick that is this springy even from just torching and adding VG an then lighting on fire they seem to get a lot stiffer.

Is it just not possible with a larger diameter wick? Using 400x400 mesh. Torch no quench. VG soak and burn x3. I've always done them like that but I'm intrigued by the softer wicks. For me anyway, seems they are easier to work with. I can avoid the dreaded top coil pop because they don't press into the side of the tank and can be moved in close to the centre post. Insulator removed for thicker wick.

I don't know the answer to this for sure, but my best guess is that it is because they are soaked in VG, and probably made well in advance of your receiving them........making for lots of softening time.......
