Sorry for butting in, but the new one and the old one could be updated with a vaper puffing on a real PV. Just a thought. I mean, c'mon! An 808 with a blue light? It is almost 2013! hahahahaha.

You're not butting in ... the more butts the better! :D

I just have to say something. The other day when my ZAU coil came unwrapped and I was without tools to wrap a new one....well....that is the best any of my Zens has ever vaped!!! I decided to just tighten the top a bit....amazing!! I'm going to wrap lousy coils all the time!!! Apparently the worse my coil is, the better the vape.

Hi, MissEmma - happy to see you.

Actually, I found that too - see my iHy coil (which is now gone) - looks like a 3 y/o made it, but it vaped like a cloud machine.

Has anyone recently had a health examination for insurance? I found out today I need to do one and they told me premiums are much more expensive for smokers. I am not a smoker but she said it detects nicotine. I usually vape 3-6ml a day of 12mg juice, and am going to grab one of those self test things tomorrow but was wondering if anyone had some knowledge on the matter.

How odd is that? I thought the problem was that I didn't have it perfect enough....hmmmm

I wouldn't be so quick to rely on the "no" taxes answers you got K-man. Whether we are rquired to pay duty/import taxes does depend on the value and type of the item.

This is from the US Customs and Border Protection site, for packages requiring duty: "Note: Most personal shipments worth up to $200, and gift packages worth up to $100, will pass duty-free as long as the recipient does not receive multiple packages in a single day whose cumulative value is more than these amounts". And whether the package requires duty or not depends on the classification of the contents placed on the customs form. I confess that the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the various classifications is so complex and long-winded that I am totally unsure what classification you could use, if any, to escape duty on something that's expressly valued at $500.00!

https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/126/related/1/~/mail---goods-requiring-duty

Edit: Further clarification - on another page it is even clearer that any mailed items valued over $200 are going to be subject to import duty, and even handling fees on top of that:

"Finally, many people make the mistake of thinking that the $800 personal exemption from duty for international travelers also applies to goods sent to the U.S., but this is not the case. The personal exemption may only be applied to goods accompanying travelers. While duty may be waived for most goods entering the U.S. whose value is $200 or less, any item(s) whose value exceeds $200 will be subject to duty as well as postage handling fees". https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/501/related/1/~/mail---goods-requiring-duty

Thank you! I've booked marked it and will read it in the morning before I ship. Much appreciated!

hey everyone! back from that hellish trip with my super annoying family. I was almost excited to see all the moaning and groaning about the classy's here. almost :)

Does anyone know how I can change the colors of the scheme within the new ECF settings? I would like to change the text color and have changed every color that I can find, but do not seem to be able to change that.

thanks in advance......

The last I heard was that you would be regarded as a smoker as they don't differentiate between vaping and smoking and the test they use detects nicotine..........I heard that about 6 months ago.........

thanks, do you have any idea if nicotine inhaled with an ecig stays in your system as long as a cigarette would? I realize that might be a tough question because its dependent on the device and juice and how hard you are vaping, but I thought I understood that your body didnt absorb as much nicotine while vaping compared to smoking...

I don't know. I was just repeating what I heard in the New Members forum from several insurance guys who definitely sounded like they knew what they were talking about............

ah understood... the way they classify it is really kind of ridiculous IMO. the really dangerous stuff in cigarettes is not nicotine from my understanding.

First, they do not test for nicotine, but rather for cotinine which is a metabolite (residual) of nicotine that can be seen up to 10 days after the last cigarette. Interestingly, menthol smokers have more cotinine becasue menthol slows down its breakdown. It's a safe bet to assume that it's not much different for vaping.

As far as insurance goes, I don't know anything exactly, but there was someone on the new members forum a while ago who had experience working for one and said that even if you qualify as a non-smoker, in the event of a later claim, if they do detect cotinine at that time they will try to fight the claim... It was about life insurance, really...
