even when I was married, I saved up a few pennies here and there to pick up something I wanted......... do you think they sit on every penny earned? hell no...they go out and buy whatever they want quite frequently without saying a word too...I've heard comments before like, 'oh, i've had that for a long time now...' or ' my sister gave that to me, don't ya remember?' significant others can be just as sneaky, even when you are communicating or compromising with each other about all purchases...
Not to mention, wife says "honey the diamond in my ring is too small, I need a 2 karat vvs 1 E clarity" Hhaha I was speechless. So if you compare that to all my Apv, Does that even compare? Wait, I need some more SW, Cobalt and whatever else I can get my hands on.

See, here's the thing... they DO exist... I spoil Stacie because for me, it's fun. And I like being unpredictable too... I don't create the appearance of quid pro quot... "you did this for me so I'll do that for you" It's more fun to just come home and say, "Work was a drag today so I stopped at the bike shop on the way home and bought you a new Harley..."

I agree 100%. We do exist. Just gotta find us.

I am the same way, I love the unpredictability. And I spoil Janessa every chance I get. Wanting nothing in return.

And she does the same for me, even though I don't expect it, ie buying tickets to Vapercon. Completely unexpected, and she wants nothing in return. Well maybe she wants a couple little things LOL

OMG, This is a supplier sales thread!!! It is NOT OK to come in here and sass the owner of the best and most sought after APV in the world. Why on earth would you want to annoy him anyway?

I just calls them as I sees them. If it annoys someone, tough luck. Too bad if you see it as being contrary thats not the intention. Like I said, I have actually been very positive earlier in this thread.

Annoying? I don´t mind that. Not at all, in the end it´s just an opinion and everyone has one.

read the messages and you´ll notice that I didn´t sass, was just a comment regarding a material, nothing personal and not even negative actually. Jeeez this thread is sensitive area.... I will refrain further comments unless its definately positive. Sorry for that.

I did not have a problem with any of your other comments, just the one I quoted. Maybe you should re read that one and think about how it sounds. It sounds like you are being an arrogant jerk.

I don't doubt that your kind exist...I've just not had the pleasure to meet one. I've said it before, I have horrible taste in men. I go with my heart not my head. My heart does not choose wisely  The plus side, is that I realize this trait in myself so I've never married one of ill chosen ones. So, you live and learn.

I think we have the same taste in men. I could have said this very thing myself.

Seeing all this talk about men that cower in the face of their wives makes me sad. Somewhere along the line, I think Men have lost their edge... The instinct to be a provider has been replaced by a desperate need for approval.

BEING an actual provider should be satisfaction enough, but for many men this has been supplanted by the need for acknowledgement that they have provided. This is the path to wimpdom.

These men crave the "atta boy" and approval of not just women... they want EVERYBODY to tell them they are doing a good job. They live by the social currency of aknowledgement and validation.

But a real man... he's got a completely different agenda. His primal instincts drive his decisions... they are driven by the satisfaction that comes from being able to take care of business. These men don't NEED the "atta boy"and they are not motivated by it... The "good" men that women can't seem to find, understand that KNOWING you've done a good job is enough. Nobody has to say it... nobody has to applaud their efforts. They don't have to walk around saying "LOOK AT ME... I'M A GOOD CATCH"...

These guys don't ask for permission nor do they beg for forgiveness. They are confident and cocksure... That's not to say they wouldn't seek advise or consult... They wouldn't say "honey can they buy this... I hope it's OK"... they say, "I'd like to buy this so I'm going to, which do you think looks better, the black or the red?"

Bottom line... it's all about being who you are and following your instincts... Nobody is going to read this and change as a result of seeing it... too many factors are at play and you're either wired this way or your not. Ladies, you can't change a man to become this either, nor should you try. People are who they are... and if ya want a take charge-man then you have to start by finding one... they can't be created by a relationship dynamic. The fact of the matter is that they are hard to find because they, with rare exceptions, are ALL in healthy relationships that will remain healthy because they are such good providers.

I've had enough birthdays now that I've learned to trust my heart. The problem is that I never let my mind guide me before. Other organs kept getting in the way.

Very interesting subject, my wife and I have talked about this at length many times. There are certain psychological elements that attract women to men. The whole "bad boy" persona is a perfect example. It's very primitive, but women typically want a man that is a leader and not a follower. Guys who don't conform in some respect and aren't vying for a woman's attention can be very attractive characteristics.

Unfortunately for some nice guys, women can make them nervous, causing them to wreak of desperation and dependence, which are huge turn-offs. Women meet this type and are completely uninterested because they give off those vibes.

The rare types are the ones that have that certain attitude that women find attractive but don't take advantage of it like the types that cheat, don't work, live in mom's basement, etc., etc.

Well, I'd like to know who first mentioned SOA???? The damn thing sat in my Netflix queue for almost a year and every time I passed over it, I wondered why it was even there. I almost deleted it several times, but mostly just didn't take the time to get rid of it. I knew I would never watch it. It's just not my kind of show. I watch a lot of things from the BBC and they are mostly cerebral crime shows........

I am now on Season 2 Episode 6. Either someone owes me for sucking me into watching this, or I owe y'all for overcoming my initial misgivings..........LOL
