It's not crazy at all. I hardly know anybody who just picked up an e-cig and stopped smoking the same day.
Can it be done instantly? Yes, it can. Is it normal? Not i.m.o.
Hang in there. vape a bit, smoke a bit, be kind to yourself....
the hardest part I've noticed is breaking the habit and routine of smoking cigs...
I tried quitting before vaping, I noticed keeping routines in check is what did the best for me.
I am new to vaping, I use an unflavored juice and get a good hit, but I still feel the need for the occasional cigarette. Why? It's crazy, how have other people managed to stop smoking?![]()
When I walk the dog, me move along. She is panting when we are done. I can do that. No hacking and coughing.
For me, I think of my health. I'm only 19 days into this, but I've not cheated with a single puff off of an analog. Not once. That's huge for me and it has been my downfall and sabotaged my quitting every.single.time.
This time I was prepared. I was a little ignorant and bought the vuse brand from the gas station and vaped on that until I found this site and started lurking.
I made the jump, an expensive jump, and bought a silver bullet mod from altsmoke so now my rationale is "I can't give in now, I have too much money invested."
The cravings are getting better, day by day. When a bad craving hits, I vape for about 10 minutes. I'm on a high strength, 24mg, and I choose tobacco flavors to vape. Some people are for it, some are against it. But it works for me.
Just take it day by day. You'll get there. Go get you some decent vaping equipment and come to ECF and chat away. ECF has been a life savor for me, having that social support really helps.
Best of luck and keep us updated on how you're doing.
