I have a tendency to frequent Chinese online stores and see what I can get on the cheap. One day I saw an electronic cigarette that looked exactly like a real cigarette on one of the Chinese sites for just under $10. I hadn't heard of e-cigs, had no knowledge of what was in it or how it worked, but it was $10 so I decided it might be something cool to try. Over a month went by and I forgot I had even placed the order. The e-cig showed up, I charged the battery and put the three pieces together, after trying to understand the stereotypical Chinese-English instruction book. I tried it out and, although it tasted a bit like burnt graham crackers, I liked it. I was smoking but I wasn't smoking. I decided that there were so many problems with the e-cig in my hand that there had to be a better kind of electronic cigarette. I googled it and found ECF. I immediately began to immerse myself in these handy devices that seem to be the only thing that makes me NOT want a cigarette. Before I knew it, I had three different PVs, the chinese cigarette look-a-like was retired, and I was regularly stalking the mailman waiting for my repeated shipments of juice and blue aquarium foam (still use the blue foam in old style cartridges just for old times sake). Looking back that Chinese cig look-a-like may have been one of the worst devices ever made, but that cheap $10 piece of crap has saved me hundreds of dollars (eventually) from not buying smokes and probably has saved my life.

A customer of mine had a generic one from the gas station. I bought the entire kit that was about $70 and it was horrible. Somebody showed me another kind and tried that. It's been a little over 3 mnths w out logs for me and I can't believe how easy it was. I had no idea that these forums even existed and all this information. Sometimes it's still confusing but reading and learning

These stories are amazing. Love to hear and read them. I love to pass on the knowledge. I hope i can change someones health like vaping changed mine. Quick version. Tried a co workers blu, it was ok, bought a diposable so I could smoke around my inlaws, started doing research, grimm, busardo, dimetrious, all taught me tons. Then I started talking to dan at mr. Eliquid. Bought there mr. Ego kit. Bought the game changer for me was giving up the thought that it had to be a tobacco flavored eliquid that would satisfy my cravings. I found there apple pie and that was it. I have since found some other flavors and mods. But, if it wasnt for that juice, ecf, and youtube I would still be smoking. 7 months and creating 20+ plus vapors later. I love vaping! Thanks to evwryone for sharing it helps so much to know there are so many people out there fighting along side me.

I had seen "electronic cigarettes" @ a convenience store where I bought my smokes, but didn't pay much attention. My husband mentioned "e-cigs" one night & said he'd thought about looking into them. He never did, but meanwhile I bought a Blu disposable just out of curiosity, and by later that day I saw the potential (man, how I loved that vanilla flavor they had ;) )
Stuck w/the Blu for a couple days (in tandem w/analogs), bought the Blu starter kit & inevitably found out it wasn't nearly as good as the disposables had been. I must have been Googling where to get the cartos cheaper or something & stumbled onto ECF and the rest was history! Got myself some skinny Volt batteries (78mm) & was DONE w/analogs in about a week. I realized that yes, I really can refill a carto after all, and WOW, look @ all these cool flavors I can get!! I'm still on these Volts for now, have a TON of juices, and am cruising right along, nearing the 8-week mark. Thrilled, thrilled, thrilled, and it's all thanks to ECF & all you wonderful folks!

My doc said it as kind of an off-hand remark that I don't think she thought I would take seriously. She was complaining about my smoking, I told her I loved smoking and wouldn't give it up.

Her response: "Then get one of those stupid electronic cigarettes!"

So I did.

Now she can't complain, 'cause I did exactly what she told me. :D

First was the DSE901 model from Totally Wicked (had to get the *cool* looking black one). First eLiquid was RY4. Loved it from day one.

Sent from my DROID Razr Maxx

I'd read about ecigs in the newspaper a long time before I decided to purchase one. I remember laughing about them presuming they were useless and stupid. Then one day a couple years later I read about them on a cruising forum I was on and started thinking maybe it might be a good idea to get one just to use when it would be more convenient then smoking. I never presumed I would stop smoking because I sometimes used one. Spoke to the lady on the cruising forum and ordered my first Joye 510. Before it arrived I found ECF and started reading and decided I had nothing to loose by trying to give up smoking and only vape. If I failed and just used it occasionally I had accomplished my original goal when I ordered it. My first ecig arrived two years ago last Tuesday and I've been smoke free ever since :)

my younger brother brought me a few disposables from japan when he visited in 2006 maybe. they tasted like crap, and died quickly, but i was still intrigued. six years, and many cigarettes later, i bought a few njoys and a fin from 7-11 on a whim. they were also pretty terrible, but it motivated me to do my homework, lurk forums such as this one for the good info, and find my setup. changed my life.

Glad to see more post on her about family members helping. This is how its starts. I owe everything to charger72 for helping me...look back a few months into it and remember if someone helped you or got you started and day thank you and pass it on to someone else remember you could be saving someones life by having them switch. Also thanks to everyone on her for posting let's keep them coming

My boyfriend, who is a nonsmoker, bought me my 1st ecig (green smoke) for Valentines day a couple years back. Yeah I know, real romantic huh? I tried it but it didnt really satisfy my cravings. Long story short I now have joyetech eGo C with a clearomizer and am vaping almost full time. Only smoking about 3-5 analogs a day and my boyfriend is thrilled! Its so nice not 2 reek of smoke!

great to hear its helping my opinion to quit fully would be pop up just a little to an ego twist and find a flavor that works great at a higher nic level and work down from there. I hope all goes well

i found vaping at 7-11 lol. i tried a disposable njoy from 7-11 and thought hmm maybe, so they had another called American vapor i think so the next time i was there i tried that one. It was a bit better in flavor and vapor but didn't last a day so then i heard about the blu and that i got 2 of and then i hit the net and i haven't looked back since. First setup was the ego-t and i right away hated it, the flavor of the prefilled carts was terrible and i burned up one of the attys the first day. I then went to my local shop and got a DCT tank after watching hours of youtube videos on tanks and cartos. So then my girlfriend decided she wanted to try it and we bought 3 more DCT tanks and more juice (china juice) and she did the tank for a while and decided she wanted to try my unburnt ego-t atty.

she tried it and i got it going for her and all of a sudden with different juice i like it a lot so i jumped back online and found out about the ego-c and ended up buying her a kit and me a upgrade for my batteries and that's kind of where i am now until hopefully in a day or 2 i get my kgo vv,ViVi nova tank,50mls of juice and 4 DCT cartos in the mail.

I've looked at e-cigs previously but most of the Mall kiosk ones were crazy expensive, and one of my friends tried one of the gas station ones and said it hit like garbage and tasted like garbage, and made him sick (probably because he could hit it for 20 min without noticing). Then one of my co-workers (heavy smokers) got an ego kit and said that it was really good and it was cutting down his smoking quite a bit so I figured I'd give it a try, especially due to a pack of Marb Lights being near or over $10 here in NYS

My story is a tad different since I quit "analogs" about 3 years ago. I would get unbelievable cravings for one when we were out and knew if I bought a pack I would smoke a pack. Decided to research the e-cig option to have available when I thought I would die unless I bought a pack of analogs. Bought my first disposable Blu and loved it and decided to invest in a Halo G6 kit ultimately. Been vapping for 2 weeks and took my e-cig on vacation (where I traditionally wind up smoking again) and loving it! And haven't had the "craving" for an analog since!
