Actually helping my mother move and unpack. I found an old 401 kits she bought 2 years before. Used it for a month before getting my first ego and boge 2.0 cartos. never looked back at those nasty analogs. Sad thing is, my mother is still smoking. such a horrible experience on that cheap device that she will never go back.

My supervisor at work was the first person whom I saw using an electronic cig. She then told me to try it out so I can lessen the smoking thing.

I got my first unit around February of this year. It looked like real cigs and even tasted a little like it. When I felt that the constant charging became annoying, I switched to an E-go 650mah kit. That battery has served its purpose and died last week. As of the moment, I'm using an M60 1300mah battery with an LR atty.

On April 22nd 2012 I went to Walgreen's to buy an inhaler cuz I had some kind of flu that turned into pneumonia and while I was there I also decided to buy some nicotine gum because I was so sick I couldn't inhale cigarette smoke and I needed a fix. Right next to the gum they had their Blu E Cig kits and I happened to glance at them.

The rest is history.

I haven't had a cigarette since that day and I was a 2 1/2 pack a day smoker for almost 35 years.

If that's not proof E Cigs work what is?

These stories are amazing. Love to hear and read them.

I enjoy reading them too.

I think ECF outta make copy's of ALL of the stories that get posted here on this site regrading how much of a miracle E Cigs can be for smokers who can't quit, put them all in some sort of fancy binder and then send one of those binders to every single Senator, Congressman and even the President every year or so. It might go a long way when those STUPID E Cig regulation votes come up every once in a while.

Hell, for all we know perhaps President Obama's been using the damn things, I heard he has quit a couple times since moving into The White House.

Edited to say, I'd pitch in some money towards that project, just tell me where to Paypal the money to and I will send it in a heartbeat.

I started because I got sick of hiding my smoking from my wife.. LOL I know you're thinking how could I hide it from her. Honestly, I was a very clean smoker and always was even before I met her. I hate the smell but I enjoyed it. I washed my hands and always sipped on a drink or chewed gum while I was smoking. I would exhale straight up in the air and stood with the wind to my back. I did quit for a while but during stressful situations I would go back to them as a crutch. Then I started working as a state corrections officer and pick up smoking regularly again, 1-2 packs/ day. I smoked at work and would find reasons to go outside for a few minutes a couple times a night. I NEEDED cigarettes to keep my stress level under control. When I didn't get to have one when I needed it I had the typical "nicfit" and would get irritable, angry and stressed. I wanted to quit but I didn't want to try meds to quit or to keep my stress under control.

Then, I saw an ad on Craigslist for a Joye 510 kit for around $30 or something like that. So I started researching it and reading everything I could on them. It sounded good, it was the ultimate compromise, she didn't want me to smoke and I didn't want meds. This way I still got my nicotine and quit "smoking" for her and for me. The next night I picked it up and never went back to analogs. It was hard not to at first though. The first puff on the ecig was like my first drag of a Newport. I coughed and my chest was tight.. and everyone I converted got the same thing. I guess it's like puffing a warm rush of "steam" right into your lungs. But after three or four puffs it was easier, then I noticed my nic craving was going away. After a few weeks I noticed that I started breathing much better and I was able to run a mile again and not get so winded that I felt like dropping over. I stopped coughing up that nasty stuff in the mornings and actually enjoyed breakfast. I feel fortunate that I started out with the Joye 510 instead of a mall special, if I would've had a bad experience with it I would probably still be smoking Camel Menthol's. After a few months I upgraded to a Riva (a superior Ego clone) and recently bought the new Ego-T 18650 MOD.

Vaping is the best thing I have done for myself. Since I started vaping, about 2 years, I started working out again and in turn started eating better. If I wasn't able to breath better I never would have started hitting the gym again. I lost weight and built up. My wife still doesn't understand it and has no desire to learn about it but she doesn't hound me about it. I'm OK with that, compromise is what marriage is all about :)

a buddy got me started with an ego battery and an ego mega atty.. which worked fantastic. although lost interest in waiting a week every time my atomizer died. ( ego megas were about 15 bucks a piece at the time). So i went back to smoking my one and a half packs of marlboros every day. about a month ago another buddy told me about esmoke . net which was a 15 minute drive from my house. I baught myself a couple ce2's which werent cutting it at 3.7 volts. I then baught myself a lava tube and a couple cartomizers. Only then i realized how satisfieing vaping is at higher voltage. In the past two weeks ive stocked up on cartos, baught a couple tanks / drip tips and an ego twist. I feel like theres always something im waiting for in the mail.:D

I was at a get together Labor Day weekend and one of my buddies had a mod. Curious what it was since quitting smoking has been crossing my mind lately. He let me try a few vapes and was amazed how it was. Last week I received my Vtube from Apollo and put down the Marlboro menthol lights since! I've tried quitting before; even for a year and nine months only for the cravings to come back due to stress, etc. Hopefully this is it!

First post. I have been a lurker for a very short while.

Hubby suggested an e-cig for flying purposes. We travel quite a bit. I started researching them and ran across this site. Started reading, literally for hours and hours each day, and thought this may be the way to actually get off the "analogs". Because of all the reading and using the search function here, I do realize that I may not be able to use these on a plane, but it will cut down on my sprint to baggage claim after the flight Lol. Not to mention being able to 'vape' in the hotel room!

So, here I sit, waiting for my first kit to arrive (hopefully today) along with samples from other vendors (hopefully soon!). I am a voracious reader, I read everything!, so I will be reading the manual while smoking the analogs until batteries are charged and I figure out what needs filling, blowing out etc... I have different mg's of nic coming in the samples and hope that I have guessed close to what I am going to need.

Well that's sorta my story and hopefully I will be sticking to it. Haha

I knew about it for a while but didn't think it really worked and thought it was expensive. Saw a customer with one walking around smoking it inside. That same night I saw a logic disposable e-cig at a gas station on my way home. Bought it and liked it. Started researching online and found it was way cheaper just to buy online. That was that. Haven't had a cigarette in over 2 weeks.

About a year ago a guy in my department at work was selling GreenSmoke starter kits. He loves them and to this day hasn't upgraded to anything else yet. I started researching other kits and went with a Stog starter kit instead.

Since then I moved onto some eGos and other VV mods. He said the other day, 'Yeah dude, I saw you walk by the other day and you blew out a huge vapor plume. Damn! I wish mine would do that!'

Thanks to him, he showed me the only way that actually got me to quit smoking completely and gave me a new hobby!
