Going from analogs to e-cigs...I didn't really experience any physical changes. My husband did though, he began coughing a lot and complaining of rib and back pains. He keeps googling and finding that its normal but is convincing himself it's something more.

We are 2 days shy of one month on vaping.

I had a little bit of coughing at first, but it wasn't too bad, like a minor cough.

Emotionally I get grumpy when I need some nicotine, I vape until that feeling is gone though. That is my only major "side effect" from quitting analogs.

Did you have anything?

I was pretty typical - I coughed a bit when I first started until I figured out how to inhale differently. I had some tightness in my chest within a few days, which subsided pretty quickly. I also had trouble getting to sleep or vivid dreams for a while until I lowered my nicotine levels in the evening.

The usual mild indigestion if i vape too hard.
When i have tried quiting using patches and gum in the past i have had similar side effect.
Now i have got past the novelty stage and vape at a lower rate I rarely get it though.

On the plus side, I no longer cough myself stupid every morning on the cycle to work :)

The first two three weeks, I was grumpy and snapped at people. It was nothing so terrible that they were ready to run for their lives though.

I'd get a headache (still do). The solution, of course, was/is drinking more. Not drinking enough will also dry out your throat and make you cough.

I've suffer from hypertension (high blood pressure) and was diagnosed with COPD. My doctor has had to cut my meds and I started breathing better almost immediately. Since I made the switch, I haven't had a case of COPD.

Very hard to tell long-term as it's only been 3 days so far...

I think I'm slightly more irritable. This I think is because I'm not gettng my high-impact analogue-cigarette nicotine fix - but a more mellow, stretched out dose from vaping. I'm sure I'll get used to it, if not I can order some 24 mg liquid (as opposed to the 12mg I'm using now).

I think this goes with the irritability: physically I'm full of energy! It's a great feeling.

I've seen mention on this forum of all kinds of symptoms I might get from [tar+zillions of other substances]-withdrawal. Haven't experienced those yet.

I have had nothing but positive physical changes since I made the switch, going on my 8th month now.I coughed a little at first, but once I got the hang of it that stopped. Since then my breathing is 100% better, I do not cough and hack and choke every morning. I started working out and swimming regularly at the gym, was not even an option when I smoked 2 packs a day. I do not wheeze and rattle in my sleep anymore, which my wife is happy about. I have also lowered from 18mg juice down to 6mg with no problems. The 18mg gives me quite a buzz these days!

I started with 24/26/28 mg nic and have gone down to 18 now. I am a little more irritable than I was on the higher nic, but I am working through it of hopes of eventually dropping even further down with time. I don't want to quit all together because I enjoy vaping and I personally enjoy the effects of nicotine.

I just wanted to say congrats to everyone for making the switch!

I'm coming up on 6 months. At first I had some chest tightness, coughed up a lot of phlegm, I was irritable and had some insomnia, but these are all the normal things I would experience any time I went CT; only at about half the normal level. I DID NOT experience the usual dullness and malaise.

I play bagpipes, and I still get winded while marching, but I don't feel like I'm going to die, and I think my endurance has improved a great deal.

I vape 50/50 to 0/100 PG/VG at 30 mg nic.

Only about a month entirely off analogs here. My taper was prolonged at least a week because of my cigarette withdrawl symptoms -- sour stomach, nausea and vomiting, sweats, insomnia. It was a lot more than I expected.

Since then, it's been nothing but the usual sputum (which I'm glad to part with, thinking that I used to intentionally inhale that stuff is nasty). That, and my lung capacity is so much larger that I can accidentally get light-headed now if I breathe deeply for too long.

My respiratory system has vastly improved.
Sinuses have cleared up significantly as well.
And now whenever I smoke "other stuff", it feels more harsh now.
Really though... it's amazing not having to smoke morning cigs any more.
Not having to wake up and right away drown my lungs in the 'ol ash tray bath, and then repeating this throughout the day.
I don't stink any more, which I'm sure my friends and family appreciate. (of course, this makes "other stuff" smells stand out more, so be aware of that).
And now I can run hills, and sprint, and do all these cardiovascular workouts that usually wind me very quick.
I want to play competitive baseball this spring and I want to be healthy again, like when I ran cross-country in H.S.
Good stuff. I keep waiting for the relapse but it seems like I want a cigarette less and less as each day passes.

The only effect I've seen in the last 52 hours since my last analog is that I've had an uncoordinated, almost hungover feeling. It's like when the stomach ache and headache goes away after a long night of drinking and you're left with that spaced out unfocused feeling.
I didn't sleep much the last two nights but I blame the dog for that. If you sleep on the couch you will wake up to him touching your face with his nose just breathing with an open mouth because he wants to go out. I'm just glad he doesn't lick or bark to go out, he just stares you down. He actually climbed on the couch one time when I was ignoring him and laid on my chest between me and my phone because he knew that I was preoccupied with playing a game.

This may be a little off topic, but has anyone noticed a change in their 02 saturation levels? I was just at the doc's office last week and my level was 96%. It was always at 98-99% prior to starting vaping and while I was still smoking. A PFT was also done and it was dandy pre and post breathing treatment ( I consider that test a form of torture having to blow until you are blue in the face....lol) -- the doc was actually surprised since I was a 2 PAD smoker for 20+ years. Could I be over vaping? I go through perhaps 4 - 6 ml per day using 85/15 PG/VG juice. This concerns me and I'm really curious to see if the has happened to anyone else.
