I had twitching in my left hand fingers and sensation of wanting to grit my teeth together.

That subsided but now I get feeling of a cramp at bottom of left side ribcage.

Yesterday I could not taste any of my juice. Today it is better.

Lung capacity definately improved and have more energy.

Other hand is that energy makes me not want to sleep..:?:

The numbness in my arms and hands is GONE! :)
Numbness in general or just when it's cold? I know the whole time I smoked I would have my fingers get numbish when the temp got below 50º. They started getting cold when it hit 65º and were like ice at 60º.

Thinking about lung capacity, I could hold my breath for a minute and a half when I was smoking a pack a day, I wonder if that will increase after a few months.

I've been vaping for almost a month now. First few days late at night (after vaping all day) I'd feel jittery and my heart would race a little but that's passed, I was vaping too hard. I still have a random cough where it's like my throat gets coated and I have to hack/cough it clear a few times a day, not sure if that's my lungs cleaning themselves out or vaping.

Other than that I've had no other effects. I've spilled quite a bit of nicotine on my hands and actually gotten some in my eye lol, ah the joys of being a noob.

Numbness in general. Especially when I'm sleeping. It was so painful, it would wake me up. Now that I don't smoke, it never happens. Ever.

I've had a problem with very dry skin since vaping. I'm trying to make myself drink water instead of my usual all day soda drinking. I hate water but they say you need it because vaping can cause dehydration. I now drink a quart before allowing myself the first soda. I seem to be addicted to A&W diet root beer. Other than that, no problem...breathing fine now and no coughing. Two months without analogs and absolutely no craving for the nasty things.

For people mentioning the weird dreams, this can definitely be a symptom of too much nicotine. The reason I say that is a few years ago I tried to quit using the patch. I wore it all the time, including at night, and had some MAJORLY weird dreams. I happened to mention them one time to someone who noticed the patch and they said, oh yeah, me too until I stopped wearing them at night! I stopped wearing it at night and the dreams disappeared. Perhaps tell your hubbies, or if you are having the weird dreams, to either cut down on the nicotine levels of the juices you use, or cut back to 0 or low levels at night before bed.

Another thing: my god how SMELLY the world is! There are smells everywhere. It's intense, unfamiliar, good but a little freaky sometimes. This is on day 4 of no-analogs.

This is fantastic sometimes - at other times, I just wish I didn't have to smell what a place is like (especially when I have to be there, e.g. a train or subway).

Also on the subject of... er.... smells.... . My breath, I'm sure, has improved, but the gas coming out the other end.... would now be classified as a chemical Weapon of Mass Destruction. There's a whole thread about this somewhere on the forum. I hope it settles down, but not as much as my friends hope it will...:p

I was kind of irritable the first couple days I started vaping, I figure it was all the other chemicals in analogs. My smoker's cough went away almost immediately. The first couple weeks I was thirsty *all* the time, but I've increased the amount of water I drink and so that's improved a lot. As for weird dreams? I take ambien every night, so I *always* have strange dreams. :p

I'm at the end of day four and my sense of smell hasn't improved a bit. I kinda hope it doesn't because I've always been able to smell things before anyone else around me.

Hey, I see you're in Raleigh. Have you ever gotten anything from Misty Mountain Vapor at the flea market on the fair grounds? My dad has gotten a bunch of stuff from them just because an hour ride beats waiting on the mailman when you get low on juice or accessories.

The numbness in my arms and hands is GONE! :)

Holy ....! I didn't even notice until I read that. My hands and wrists were numb when I woke up every morning for a few years. Not anymore! Thanks for pointing that out.

I'm only a couple of weeks in since I quit cigs. I did ween off them and on to juice over a couple of weeks.

I had zero withdrawal symptoms (WOW!), and only very mild issues - a little short term chest tightness, and mouth sores started. Someone posted here on ECF to try vitamin B12 for mouth sores. I happened to have a bottle around, and sure enough a squirt under my tongue keeps them away if I start to feel them.

I'm breathing better, sleeping more soundly, and cough/wheeze much less. My breath isn't rank, and I don't think it's just cuz I quit cigs. I think it has something to do with PG being a bactricide (my theory, no proof)

2+ months analog free now both my hubby & I. Our e-cig kit came & we quit the same day. Absolutely astounding!!!

At first I had the occasional heart racing, but I vaped like a maniac due to being a 40+ yr, 1 1/2 pad smoker. I was a little irritable the first week, but my family didn't flee for their lives, so all is well.

Had a few insomniac nights, but that was gone pretty quickly because I have so much more energy that I wear myself out during the day. GIVE ME SOMETHING TO DO!!!!

I also had drier skin (wood stove & 30% house humidity doesn't help), so I started drinking more water.
Gums bleeding for about 3 weeks but that is pretty much over, only occasionally now if I don't drink enough H2O.

I'm breathing so much better. Sometimes too much & I get light headed. The morning hacking cough & wheezing at night was gone within 2-3 days. About 2 weeks after quitting, I stacked a full cord of wood without so much as a wheeze or shortness of breath.

One real upside that I hadn't noticed until about 2 weeks ago is that we don't snore anymore. My DH's snoring would make it impossible to fall asleep & sometimes I snored so heavily that I would wake myself up :D

My sense of smell improved quickly, the taste is a little longer in recovering (changes all the time). I am absolutely thrilled that I no longer smoke stinky cigarettes anymore because now I can smell how bad I smelled to everyone else when I was smoking.

Blessings & I'll be vaping along now :vapor:

I wasn't a heavy smoker when I quit - maybe down to a half a pack a day, so I was already feeling a bit of the withdrawal symptoms. Vaping was tough to get used to at first, I made mistakes of letting carts get dry and inhaling burnt air (cough cough cough), vaping overly sweet high PG content juice (which caused massive throat irritation), and my taste buds and sense of smell returned (oh geez.. what is that SMELL?? time to change the litterbox!).

The toughest part was finding a juice that did not irritate my throat (finally found it in the Basic / ecopure line - ventured out from there) and moving from 510 prefilled carts, to direct dripping, to an eGo T, then onto bigger cartos and CE2 style carts.

In my 2 years off analogs, I can say NOW that I would never go back, but it was tough at first because I had to fiddle with everything to get the same satisfaction as I did from smoking. However, finding the right juice / hardware combo has been THE answer for me.

I had some pretty severe canker sores all over my mouth. Very painful. I was told that they're caused by built up toxins leaving my body. It lasted a week. Then i had acne for another week. Also had night sweats and achiness. After 3 weeks I started smelling again...Jogging, riding my bike etc...it's been an incredible journey so far. Oh. And when I started vaping, I weighed 135 pounds. I know weigh 122. In less than 6 weeks. Wish I could afford a new wardrobe:(

The thing I don't miss the most is smelling like an ashtray.
