I came up with mine because I originally went online to join gardening groups.. I grow tons of roses in my garden along with nigellas..(otherwise know as love-in-a-mist) All the good rose names were taken and I figured if I used love in a mist someone would figure I was trolling for cybersex. So I came up with mystmaiden, and mystal which I use pretty much everywhere. LOL, how's that for convuluted!

ps love your nick, rosesense!

Mystah..another rose fiend..I mean lover! I use to raise white roses..JFK's I believe. They did fine when I left them alone..they just hated it when I sprayed or trimmed them! I had a really pretty orange rose..It may have been a tea.. I just left it alone other then feeding it once in a while and it bloomed for years! I have such a brown thumb.

I loved reading all the awesome posts! (been away from here for too long)

My name is Julie, my mother was the only one that ever called me Jules. After she was killed in a fire I didnt let anyone call me that for a long time. A person that I thought was a close friend starting calling me Jules on another forum that I belonged to and it just sort of stuck. Every forum has a ton of Julies and Jules' so I just added the numbers that are in my email addy.

The avatar and sig picture have a special meaning. The tear stands for two things, sadness for all the things that could have been, and a tear of joy for all the things that are.

Yeah, the blueberry turned out pretty bad,lol I have several people that love my blackberry brandy though. I have to make large batches of it and divide it up. I did learn earlier on to not use real alcohol. Man does that play havoc on my BP,lol I'll get the stuff out and do some mixing in the next few days and see what nasty things I can come up with, lol

I love reading about your names and stories. Seems we have a few gardeners on here. I grow hundreds of roses but will be cutting back soon. Too labor intensive as I get older and I have to think about retirement in a few years. I hope to always have about 25-50 but not hundreds anymore.

I came up with my name because I'm a criminal justice professor. I also teach writing so it was a toss-up between Sherlock and Scribe. Sherlock sounded better! :) Besides I can "hide" online with the name "sherlock" and none of my online students can ever find me on discussion boards, online communities, blogs, and so forth. And if they did, they'd never put two and two together and figure out "sherlock" is their professor.

Heh. And before I came here, I lived in Richmond, VA for 10 years and drove past the Philip Morris curing warehouses every day. I never really loved the smell of smoke itself, but it sure smelled great around those warehouses..

I've lived near Richmond for over 30 years and many moons ago I used to teach at a school right down the road from PM. They used to give tours of that place and I have to say it was fascinating. Many of my school kids' parents worked at PM so we used to take the little kindy kids on the tour once a year. And they used to give the adult tourists a free carton of cigs.

And at school on nice days when we had the windows open, you could smell that tobacco all day long. Mmmmmmmmmm

    Those were the days!!

    Hi guys!

I haven't posted here much, sorry for that. It will be good to get to know you all :)

Well. First off my name is Adriana and I'm originally from just outside of Boston....which explains my name....kinda.

Back in the late 90's I was a part of the first all female online gaming league for a game called "Quake". My nick was BostonChick.

Well, people started calling me BC. Then someone started to call me beecee. So that's how you pronounce it..B.C.

BC was also too short for a lot of things and it could be construed as a million different things.

So that's my name for you. And my picture is just of lil ole me sitting outside on my porch. :)
