Apologies in advance if this has been posted before here in the new members forum.

So you decide to rid yourself of them stink sticks, you've searched around and found what you thought at the time was "the one!", what were your initial feelings between the time after you hit that Confirm button and before it arrived in the mail?
Originally I was going to ask about what everyone did before confirming the order, however I wanted to see if anyone shared the feelings I had in this specific time period, and more importantly, if there are any other people here who rushed into vaping a little too hastily.

I watched a lot of videos about the eGo-T Atomizers as of course I didn't know a thing, was stupidly ignorant, blissfully excited, and didn't give a passing thought to the fact that there were some terrible clones out there. I kept wondering things like "This had better work!", pacing around, looking over my time machine's blueprints, playing Xbox/PS3, and literally checking the tracking status every 10 minutes.

My thoughts about the product itself were very enthusiastic, maybe too much cause it's not always the easiest to experience or understand something until you've tried it yourself. And yet I still watched a lot of YouTube videos to understand what this device was, how exactly it worked, and a few relaxation videos. If anything, the uncertainty was unbearable. :2c:

I'll let you know . . . I'm about an hour or so away from making taking my first step and making my very first order (Starter Kit from Myepack) :)

I've literally spent hours this week doing the research, watching Youtube vids, but most importantly, getting feedback from Forum members to my questions.
I'm currently slightly 'nervous' and keep thinking "I wonder what it'll be like" and "What if it doesn't work" etc . . . . but I won't know until I try and got absolutely nothing to lose by doing so. I also switch from that kind of negative thinking to being slightly excited at the prospect as well.

I've had the old original 150mah 510 pen styles for years - they've been sitting put away for a long time. I put them away because back then it was just too much of a PITA to vape, and I had to darn near carry around a fanny pack to keep enough batteries for a day along with 'supplies' etc.

Well here recently I've gotten back into it, and it seems alot of people around town are starting to get into them as well.

So long story short, I ordered a 650mah ego starter kit, it came and I had already ordered some other atomizers/clearos/tanks/batteries etc to start this new journey since all this new stuff was 'awesome' compared to what I had tried. In the end of the day I've found myself OVER-buying alot of things, that I inevitably wont use, or don't even need. From what I can tell though, alot of the clone stuff is dang near the same thing. Most of them even perform pretty much the same. One of the best hints I found was on some of the clone tanks, get them and use original/authentic coil/atomizer heads.

That initial 'after confirm' button click though - is yay I'll have something to play with soon.. But come tomorrow (and we've been in a nasty snowstorm thats delayed vapemail badly) I still don't have anything.. I've caught myself looking to order the SAME EXACT thing I want to try again because I just haven't gotten it yet.. =/ We have (1) vape store here and it is pitiful. Once everything comes in I will have more stuff than they do.. So that whole instant gratification thing is what I could really use personally, but I'm too cheap to drive an hour to a 'real' store and spend double the price.

I am in that spot as we speak..(waiting for my order) I am already second guessing my choice for a starter kit

eGo-C Stardust Starter Kit with Long Wicks & 3X10ml bottles of e-liquid. - 650mAh - Stainless

seen some crazy mods and stuff, got me wanting somthing cooler' before my plain jane starter even arrives!

I know this one alllll too well.. After I had picked up the started kit, I already had spent 5x or more on other stuff that would totally outplay what I had already ordered!

I ordered my first kit, GreenSmoke, in December 2009. That was before I even discovered this forum.

At first, I only wanted to try something other than Nicorette to help me in those situations and places where smoking wasn't allowed--I hated Nicorette.

But, while waiting for my order to arrive, I began to entertain the idea that maybe, just maybe, this silly invention would be able to help me seriously cut back--or even quit... I had tried everything else before and nothing worked...

Well, I'm still vaping. :)

Good luck to all of you!

I ordered my first kit over a year ago. Waiting for it was unbearable! Though, when I finally got it, I was quickly disappointed because they did not perform how I thought they would... I didn't know any better and ordered a fairly expensive V2 cig-a-like kit... I quickly ordered an eGo kit for a lot cheaper and couldn't have been happier for a newbie. I now recommend eGo kits to anyone looking to start vaping.

I only ordered my Myepack Starter Kit yesterday and it arrived in the post today (even though I didn't pay for the 1st Class delivery)! So impressed with that. Down side was that the e-liquid I ordered in that first order didn't arrive in the same package . . . so either a mistake at their end, or it's been shipped separately. I've emailed them anyway!

To be honest, between ordering and its arrival, I didn't think much about it at all (other than what I posted a bit earlier). So when it did arrive in the post today, I actually 'wasn't ready for it'.

I'd just put out a normal cigarette, so didn't want to set one up immediately. What I actually did was make sure the PCC was charged fully (it already arrived with a lot of charge anyway), then I charged the 1st battery, went off to do some errands, came back an hour or so later, had a normal cig, did a bit of computer work, had a sandwich for lunch . . . . . . then I fixed the cart and battery together and got vaping :)

1st impressions are that I reckon this could work out ok for me. I had about 10 puffs (as I normally would on a JPS Black) and remained quite calm throughout.

What I would say at this stage is that I found the 'hit on the throat' a bit too harsh . . . so maybe need to see about reducing from 18% tobacco flavour to 12%.

I'm now up on the computer again and don't have a craving for another vape just yet (normally about an hour for me between normal cigarettes) . . . . so, I reckon I'm reasonably positive at this point and will see how the rest of the day goes.

I might start another thread about my first day/days of experience.

I bought my first kit local. I had made up my mind what I wanted and went to the B&M to get it. They were out, but we're expecting some in 3-4 days. They tried to sell me something else, but I held fast and told them to call me when it got in. It arrived in 2 days, but those 2 days took forever.

Vape mail is the same way. I have a juice order that is overdue, and a new tank coming. Maybe today....

It doesn't get any better as the hobby progresses.

When i ordered my first (and still my first kit) the ego c , I was excited to see how it worked and felt like. I was kinda scared to inhale the liquid and i felt like anything that was wrong with me was due to the e-cig. Also i was sick of filling the things for my husband at that time as he seemed to have taken over my e-cig.

So at that time i thought it was just a thing that was going to come, go and fade away. But it hasn't many swear by the e-cig and now so do i!

Then a month ago i got a health scare and it scared me so much that i decided to try the e-cig again and now i inhale and have no fear and i have not had an analog in 1 month!

My health scare was a possible TIA. But by the time i got to the doctor it seem to have past. So know the doctor is running tests. So far the cardiac doppler test came back fine and all blood work, along with blood pressure being ok. Seeing the doctor Monday to find out more.

I am thankful for the e-cig everyday and will never go back to cigarettes that slowly kill.

I purchased my first ever vaping kit at a local shop, so my wait was nearly nonexistent. But the time I spent asking questions, trying e-liquids, mulling over what system to buy was certainly something of a trial for me. I wanted to be able to kick the smoking thing badly, that was my motivating goal, without that I think it might not have worked out so well.

Smoking and vaping are different, I never enjoyed smoking (it was an addiction plain and simple), vaping had to replace every aspect of that addiction right away.

I started out with tobacco flavors and an i-taste MVP v2. I can vape all day without worry the MVP will die on me and the tobacco flavors were close enough to do the trick in keeping me in the this is replacing my cigarettes mind set.

I vaped in a similar fashion as I would smoke, if I had an urge, I'd go about it exactly as I would if I had a smoke in my hand.

It worked! I had 9 packs of smokes left in a carton and never so much as opened one. They eventually were passed on to a smoking friend.

That evening, it was the most smooth transition from smoking to not smoking I have ever experienced in my life. I've quit in the past, felt that panic like feeling of needing a smoke, not this time. It for me was a relaxing experience, with maybe a little apprehention mixed in that was my hope that my money was being well spent, that in every hope it would do what I wanted it to do.
