If you want nom nom on the cheap get a bottle of faeries finest tangerine and flavourarts tiramasu. These are freakin incredibly good. The tangerine smells and tastes just like fresh fruit and the tiramisu... well, mana from heaven wishes it tasted this good ;)

Yeah, I wold buy from Flavourarts since their company follows good manufacturing practices (cGMP). I've already checked them out, but I haven't checked our Faeries Finest yet. No way would I put ingredients into my lung tissue from companies that make flavors out of substandard ingredients from their homes so they can offer cheaper prices to the public, just way too risky.

I am soooo glad that we are able to DIY our own juices, so at least we have some control over the sanitary precautions. The only juice company I would buy from if I did not DIY would be PureSmoker because of their dedicated lab and sanitary precautions (+ I love their Bananica); also the person who mixes their juices is a chemist. There may be other companies that have dedicated labs, but I have not searched for them yet, since I make my own.

Thanks for the tip, I love Tangerine. The reason I use Capella's is because they are only a few miles away from me, and I can drive over to pick up. Also because their lab is regulated by the state and operates under cGMP. An added benefit is that I don't have to pay a hefty shipping charge when I order my bottles of PG and VG.

I agree with you Seabrook. The more I learn the more concerned I am about this industry and what people will do when this amount of money making goes unregulated. That's what got me started making my own and the last thing I want is to use ingredients that aren't somehow regulated for safety.

I've seen a lot happen in the 10 months I've been vaping and some of it concerns me. Vendors changing original recipes and using ingredients that aren't even approved as a food product just to save money is a particular concern. I don't believe DIY should be about using the cheapest ingredients but rather finding the best and safest. Even though we're not getting the toxins from smoking doesn't mean we should feel it's acceptable to add other possible toxins to our system, especially when it's a matter of just a few cents a day.

Yeah, a few days ago, a friend and I were discussing the upcoming FDA hearings. So if there is not an all-out ban, I believe the eJuice industry will be tightly regulated. It has to be that way for Calif. vendors, b/c it is state law that anything sold for public consumption has to be state approved. IDK how the holiday fund raisers skate by on this with their home-baked goodies. But that's Calif., not sure about other states. We shall see.

Mixing juice from a home is bad enough, but making flavorings using chemical molecules scares me even more. I have a disabling illness because proper precautions weren't taken with a GRAS product and this is nothing to be lax about. Calif has regulations about anything we consume and using ingredients that aren't food grade makes it worse not better. A company saying they don't have to follow Calif regulations because they don't use food grade products is an accident waiting to happen IMO.

Are you talking about faeries finest, perfumers apprentice or both? Any other popular diy flavor suppliers you know of are operating out of a home?

I personally don't want to answer that question on an open forum for fear of creating a doo doo storm...but I know the supplier and won't order from them again :(

I'll 3rd that.

If they make flavors from home, I would stay clear. And if they're really cheap, I would stay clear. Food grade and USP-grade cost more. You get what you pay for. I hope you're good at reading between the lines. If you go back and read them again, I'm sure our walking-on-egg-shells, tip-toey posts will become crystal clear. Only because we care and we're concerned. It makes perfectly good sense since our lungs are on the way to recovery, blessed by this second chance, that we take full advantage of it and do everything we can to ensure that our lungs are not again polluted by dangerous chemicals. Hope that helps, dearheart.

Hey guy's would you mind if I fourth'd it? Now don't get me wrong because I love a good bargain. But I do not want to bargain with my new vaping health. This is like a "come back kid" thing for me. It will be six months no analogs Oct. 22nd and I would rather be healthier from vaping the good stuff, rather than make a mistake and mix with the wrong stuff just because someone or a group of people want to make a quick buck off us cattle. Yes I said cattle....Moo. The best flavor I have tried is the one where I open the bottle and it smells exactly like the flavor I bought.....period. FOOD GRADE NOM NOM Yummyness. The only draw back at the moment is actually getting the flavors I ordered....It takes too dern long to get flavors from this very good flavor supplier. My health will wait on them.
OK back to the NOM NOM
Seabrook I did not get any eggnog yet so unless this shipping gets quicker it could be awhile before I am able to try your...mix...you need a name for it sweetie...or we could just call it "SEAMIX".

DaDuke I checked out the Pipette Pumps. I found part of the description to be a bit confusingly funny...this part > "to reduce the risk of injury from repetitive and awkward pipetting motions." Risk of injury from squeezing a pipette? I don't know but I don't get that. You sir are currently much further along than I. Right now I am going to stick to by the drop method. Maybe in another six months I will make it to the pump stage...hopeful and the link is bookmarked thanks. Also you mentioned FF and FA for a couple flavors on the cheap...will do as I hear good things about both of those suppliers from many.
I am currently brewing a nummy NOM NOM in my head for when flavors arrive. The one flavor I would love to see for the holidays is this....Baked Honey Ham with Raisin Sauce.....yum yum.:w00t::banana::pop:

They're talking about real pipettes not the little plastic disposable ones you're probably familiar with. Real pipettes are about 14" long and has a removable rubber bulb on it. Looks like a long thermometer that draws a small amount of liquid up it in a very fine stream. That way you can get accurate measurements working with small volumes of liquid. Definitely overkill if you're only going for general recipes and don't mind some variation in results.

The repeated stress of squeezing the bulb can get very tiresome. The one i showed you replaces the bulb with a thumb wheel. It also is pistol shaped allowing your arm to be at a lower height. Trust me, even with that you'll want an arm prop or expect a sore shoulder.

Yuk, it's alllll yours.

As far as home brew, i know of one and i'll research more and "read between the lines" a bit better while shopping my flavors. I have been using google streetview whenever a site posts their address but many don't. I'll sniffem out. Ok, that sounded wrong but you know what i mean :p

Woohoo!! I guess I get the fifth....a fifth in agreeing to the care we need to take in our ingredients, a fifth that I'm pleading to avoid incriminating myself, and a fifth that I'm going to drown myself in after this seemingly very long week is done around midnight tonight.

And, <neener-neener> Rocky, Sticks got her eggnog and waffles yesterday, so this weekend I will be basking in my own nom-nom-nom.

Take it easy on that fifth Sticks, you do want to be around tomorrow and we would like to see you as well. Eggnog and waffles you lucky ducky, is there going to be any vanilla custard with that? I'm just curious about something else...It is a good company with very good flavors but......you would think in the year 2010 and almost 2011 they would have realized that tracking numbers can be provided. Saturday will be one week for my wait. My daughter (Brandi) is excited too because she is getting the water flavors.
What!! you guys no likey baked honey ham in raisin sauce? hm Eggnog and cranberry =Eggberry or Cranog .......need nom nom I'm loosing it
Have any of you tried CA peanut butter? To me it tastes much like a peanut butter cookie.A slightly well done PBC.

This figures, i finally get a couple flavors i'm nuts about (tiramisu and the tangerine) and both batts on my riva fry. Whats worse is my old passthru isn't performing worth a crap. Now i'm waiting on happysmokes to ship me an slb ego clone. Awesome price using the discount code. $42.75 shipped priority with a free drip tip and 10mls of the juice of your choice. Only drag is the post office has only been "electronically notified" which means the package hasn't really shipped yet. Grrrrr...

If this happy smokes clone is good i think i'll order another as a backup so this never happens again.
