Koolada is interesting. Right, there is no flavor but it gives a cool feeling to the vapor and your mouth. I use it in my ice cream and milkshake juice flavors and I like it. It doesn't take much, just a few drops.

You can actually diy a milkshake flavor? (like chocolate to be precise) or do you buy it from you know who and add the Koolada. If you diy it, have you posted a recipe? hint hint lol

I haven't bought juice from a vendor in over 4 months. I like mine soooo much better and when I'm having a craving I just whip up a batch of something. :p

Yep, like chocolate milkshake. I use Capella Double Chocolate, PA Malted Milk (concentrated), Capella Vanilla Custard, couple of drops of Raspberry (whatever I have - lately FF), EM and Koolada. Sometimes I use two different kinds of chocolate together, like PA Bittersweet and always Capella Double Chocolate.

FA Cocoa is also very good especially with a lot of EM and a little Caramel.

Thanks GoodDog, I'm putting together another order and will include the extras. I'll try almost anything once. Do you actually measure everything out to the drop? I usually just start with half or three quarters of a bottle and try to tweak from there. On another note I have a shihtzu that looks a lot like your dog but he is older (about 9 now) Very cute dog you have.

That's Olyver when he was younger - he's 8 now. The love of my life!!

Don't tell the big boys but I don't measure anything. I've been doing it long enough and have made thousands of batches that I know how much to use % wise. I figure out what % of each flavor I want ahead of time and go from there. I start with my nic base, add my 20% VG, flavorings, and top it off with PG. But don't quote me because it's too easy to do it that way and someone might think making juice is easy instead of only the brightest can do it. ;)

I used Capella's. I'm like rockyroad in that I'm not much of a menthol or mint fan, but I do like butter mints and wintergreen, so I might even eventually add those two to my stash that seems to be growing, LOL. I may have to stay up all night (yawn) to vape this up. It is that good!

I agree so far with the Capella's. I have been around the block in a short time with most all recommended flavoring vendors as well as juice vendors. Other than just buying an extract or oil ( which I now understand is not bad for vaping or atty's )from like a Nature's Flavors or Spice Barn the Capella's is working. When I used the waffle from Capella's I dropped it on top of the pg and vg nic base that was already in the bottle. The waffle just sat on top like it was an oil base. I had to shake it up for a good 45 seconds to get it to mix. Could that have been because my vg pg nic base was cold? or is some of that waffle an oil base?

Three cheers for the poor, downtrodden shihtzus!! If only I could get him to be a reliable sampler. Alas, he turns up his nose at everything. I thought about vaping some bacon just to make him crazy, but I figured I'd be the one really suffering so I abandoned that plan.

I know what you mean Olyver being the love of your life. I have two little yorkies, Fergie and Pippin, and they really mean the world to me.

It's hard for me to measure by percentages, but I'll learn. I love bananas, so I tried all the Banana Nut Bread recipes I could find here here on ECF and other places, and I just don't like amaretto I guess. So I finally made myself an awesome recipe. I always have nic-free base made. I needled in 4 ml of base, then added 5 drops Cinnamon Danish Swirl, 5 drops Banana, 3 drops Toasted Almond and 2 drops of Vanilla Custard. It was really, really good. It's the toasted almd that made the difference for me. Thanks for all your help.

Rocky Road, thanks for letting me hijack your thread. Hope you learned as much as I did, as this was a really good thread. Thanks for starting it. It's been fun, but my wine glass has been refilled enough times to make me reallllly sleepy, so 'til next time.

Another one. I wish I could change my avatar with my dogs pic from my pictures but it looks as if the re-size doesn't work anymore or yet..for me anyway. Anyway nice dogs Sins !!

Hmmm, I use Capella's Waffle and haven't noticed that. I know it isn't oil based because I've talked with Tom at great lengths about their flavorings. Don't know if temperature makes a difference - I keep all my stuff at the same temperature since I have a controlled environment.
Must be because I keep all my vg pg and nic in the fridge. Now how can I get my doggy in the window? lol Good night it's been great sharing with ya's.

Nite Seabrook. BTW... a couple of drops of chocolate to that may bring out the banana taste even more and you won't taste the chocolate... unless you add too much of course.

Hi Elf,
So help me out here a little, as I'm trying to read between the lines, LOL. Are you saying that you use EM in every DIY juice you blend to enhance the flavor -- and at 8%? Please and thank you.

Goodness, i leave for 3-4 hours and a couple pages go by already!

Yes at this point I have been using EM in most juice I make with any regularity. Some a little more, some a little less. The 8% is simply the standard amount I use when I make sweet cinnamon redhots flavor, which I also use as a general base (no splendex in this one yet- 8%EM seems to be just perfect on its own that I haven't even dared to try splendex in it). I find this mix goes great with an awful lot of others. Some ripe banana, or a bit of marshmallow, or a touch of vanilla custard, or some double chocolate, or some of the fresh ripe apple, or the chai, or some bavarian cream, or a touch of menthol, or...
(its so popular around here that I have been ordering PA cinnamon redhots flavor in 4 ounce bottles if you can believe that)

When I am playing with other flavors besides the sweet cinnamon, my base is a bottle with the nic, PG, 20%VG, usually 4-8% EM. Then I just mix n match flavors in the cart, and buffer it all with this unflavored base which already has the EM and some VG in it. The EM seems to add a wonderful touch with any of the flavors I have been trying lately. 8% seems pretty sweet to me.. If you want less sweet but still some of the full body it gives to the flavors, try a little less. When experimenting, I think the person just needs to judge for themselves. After all, everyones taste is a little different. When I chose 8% for my sweet cinnamon redhots mix, It just seemed about right to me, and everyone else raved about it and said it was perfect.. so that is one of the few where I actually made and use a "standard" formula to make it the same every time.

I read above a bit there was mention of menthol and koolada. Menthol seems kindof universal to me. A drop or two can go with just about anything. It's also terribly useful if you ever have a head cold, but in normal use it can provide just a touch of coolness to just about any flavor and be pretty nice. One of my past favorite recipes before I started using EM was a PG/VG base with loranns creme de menthe, and for a 25ml bottle I would add about 8 drops of concentrated menthol to complete this spectacular minty flavor. I'm actually not sure what this would be like with EM added.. I actually remember it seeming slightly sweet already at the time, but I imagine just a touch could give a new dimension to this one as well.

I have not tried Koolada yet, but it is on my list of things to get, thanks for reminding me! Bummer as I just got a PA package this morning!

Well, GoodDog, do you think if a person added just like maybe one drop of menthol to a flavor it might perk it up? I got a freebie bottle of Bananica from PS when I got my eGo from them, and I'm on a true quest to figure out what they did to it to make it so sparkly and fresh. I'm quite fond of the banana flavor, but mine just comes out so flat and dull, waiii.

If you like banana, I don't know if you have tried it but the best banana I have found so far is the PA ripe banana. Add a touch of EM to that, and optionally any other flavors in the mix. wow. Yes, I am a big fan of PA as you can probably tell from this and the list of flavors above that I like with my sweet cinnamon base

So what is synonomous w/EM? Is it Marshmallow or Cotton Candy? Thanks for all the hints, got them copied into my Word files.:)
