people whom have never used tobacco or nicotine in any form during there
life do not develop any dependency to nicotine when it is administered to them
for medicinal purposes.period.
what is so hard to understand about that.
its a fact.the ANTZ know this and understand what
it could mean.

Show me 100% no addiction. Every single link that was posted, was NOT 100%. I even pointed out the key words that clearly state that its NOT 100%.

Yes, I agree totally.

BUT, under the cover of "Making a Marlboro taste like a Marlboro" they were also free to add pretty much anything they wanted to to tobacco. Including tweaking the maoi's, the ammonia, and several other substances which make nicotine completely different than what you get in a cigarette.

Basically:
("Marlboro" being an example of a trade name, obviously only RJR can define what a "Marlboro" is.)

1. The cigarette companies are allowed to do pretty much anything to make a "Marlboro" be a "Marlboro".
2. The cigarette companies have complete power to define what a "Marlboro" is.
3. The cigarette companies have no requirement to disclose what a "Marlboro" is, and can change the formula whenever they want, without any notice to consumers or any branch of the government.

you may be right that they pretty much did what they had to do.
i am willing to give them the benefit of doubt concerning their
motives. i don.t believe the results obtained were deliberate but
incidental to the processes they used.hey had to prove making
a Marlboro a Marlboro didn't make it any more dangerous than
it was already perceived to be.
other than controlling the nicotine that was believed to be the
addictive agent the rest turned out to be an added bonus in
a weird sort of way.

mike

With the speed of modern day technology/innovation we may not even need the nicotine in our e liquid to one day produce a vape that mimics the sensation of smoking, which is what makes e cigs so successful for smoking cessation. What we need is a perfectly safe e liquid that can mimic smoking so well, sans nic, that it would leave the ANTZ with nothing to target. Imagine if vaping had started out with e liquids like that?

I believe if there's a will there mostly definitely is a way.

Dude: the way you're using "addiction" infers (to most english-speaking people) that addiction is bad. Why else would you be hammering on "show 100% no addiction"?

Hell... sex is addictive. Gonna tie into that one, too?

Its irrelevant if its bad or good, it was never part of discussion, you simply assumed how i used word addiction.

I dont think it would matter even then. It would have to be vaporless, cause remember "...if it looks like smoking... blah blah, the children, blah blah..."

They'll always figure something out to give us a hard time...

Those Antz are very crafty. Often hiding lies in half truths and paid personal opinions. They will go so far as to convince you they agree with you to a point, but they never let up on the agenda. As was said above, it would`nt matter if you made it totally nic free and contributed to weight loss, they would find a way to spin it and get the paid celebs to promote their agenda.

This is why we have a Second Amendment.

That's true. As I recall they said something like virtually certain. The gap between virtually certain and absolutely certain is probably unbridgeable in the area of biological science. Given that, can any of us be absolutely certain one way or the other? I'm not, I'm just virtually certain.

So what you guys are saying is that there is no such thing as an ANTZ friendly vape, at all? I don't know about that. Especially if this "perfectly safe e liquid" was produced after the fact, after the ANTZ have had their say in what is wrong with vaping. If we came up with an e liquid tailored to ANTZ specs they couldn't really complain. If the liquid itself is safe then they couldn't complain about the vapor either. In fact I think it would be a great idea to invite them into the creation of such a thing. (You all know that I'm playing that game called "What If" right?:D) This could do a couple of things. It would show literally everyone that vapers are concerned about safety as well, that we do care about the "childrenz" and then if the ANTZ continued on their usual course they would have to explain why they would choose to turn their backs when they could contribute to making vaping safer. Why complain about something then refuse to fix or help fix the very thing that one is complaining about?

I know... ANTZ are ANTZ and don't care about being rational or giving up their stance. I still wonder what would happen.

Trust me, they'd find something new to hate about us -- hate is really what they're all about; the object of it is really irrelevant. What they actually hate the most is that we're ENJOYING ourselves -- that's a mortal sin to puritans, y'know. What they really want is that everyone should be as miserable and hateful as they are.

It's like politics though. Once the lines are drawn, you almost have to hate the other side. It's not like they are foaming at the mouth with irrational desire to destroy us, while we are all calm and rational. It's hard to be reasonable and look for compromise when the other side are calling you Nazis, the process pushes you further apart instead. We have to believe it's not worth engaging with the other side because they are incapable of reason or decency. I've done my share of that. My chosen evil empire is the corporations and the health insurance industry. For others it's Obama or the gun lobby or whatever.

Here's my solution. Oops, sorry, got to go. The kettle's boiling.

Of course they would because if they ever deemed a vaping device to be acceptable, they would lose their grant money. This goes far deeper then hate though. I think the correct word is greed.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has gave the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids well over $120,000,000

So all of you continue to vape juice with Nic because Nic is not addictive.

Yeah..... all i hear is addicts in denial, just like any drug addict.

Im done here.

I know several people who have reached NON-nicotine in a few months.

I myself have stepped down from 24 mg to 6 mg over time.

Back in 2009, when all I had was my first Janty Dura (a 1st generation device), I did not adapt to low nic content because of the much lesser TH, ONLY.

With VV Ego's and rebuildable Kayfuns, all things changed. I almost immediately stepped down from 18 mg to 6 mg. That's a THIRD of the concentration. Made overnight. Do you think I noticed ANYTHING, or that I needed to vape more on the first day. No. TH was actually very good with those devices, which more than compensated the lower nic content.
Also, my few experiments with NON-nicotine DIY did not go well in the beginning, because of lack of TH, even with those devices. Later, I learned to use vodka instead of purified water to increase TH. The result? While it is NOT quite the same as 6mg liquid, I can sometimes endure that reduced TH and use my own liquid for the entire day. With NO nicotine in it, and I do even crave for a cigarette instead. I have been smoke-free for almost six years.

So, my guess is your depreciative argument about "denial" and "drug addicts" should be applied elsewere.

You must realize that "security" and "health concerns" were used in the past because "there were no studies"...

Slowly, those studies that "did not exist" have started to spread. Today, even some ANTZ's aknowledge that vaping "may" be safer than smoking. Faced with scientific evidence, a lie can only go so far, I guess...

So, they started moving the goalposts. Soon, they started to "worry" about the "horrible nicotine addiction". As if THEIR concern about MY nic "addiction" was more important than MY concern about MY health...!

And when confronted with NON-nic liquid, some "experts" will tell you that even so, you have NOT quit smoking, because you still have the BEHAVIORAL "smoking addiction".

When they stop having grounds to complain about the vapour, they will complain about how it "looks like smoking", and how your bad example of "mimicking smoking" will lead to an all new generation of smokers. Because the "childrun" have SEEN you "smoking" in public, and will mindlessly follow your example.

If e-cigs were "tailored by ANTZ,'s", then they would NOT be e-cigarettes at all. And that, of course, would defeat the whole purpose of our devices.
