I've not used a mixer or for other before, normally find a vigorous shake for a few mins does the trick. Might have to get one to try.
I've been having a look a mixers and frother blades and they look good and pretty cheap. My only observation is do you have to mix in a bigger bottle or container to be able to get the mixer or frother in.I use a frother blade. Shaking was killing my elbows. I don't enjoy mixing so generally mix enough to last several months.
Me too. Seems like a lot of guys and girls do it slightly different with is interesting to know. The outcome tho is pretty much the same and as others have said no one way is right or wrong. This is a really interesting thread. I like seeing various methods on the DIY process.
They look really nifty devices. Do you find that it would be too big to use on say a 30ml small neck bottle of do you mix in a container and decant into smaller bottles to use. It's quick and easy and will completely mix the ingredients. That's not saying that you can't just shake it. That works, too. A battery powered hand mixer will do it quicker and probably produce a better mix than shaking, unless you shake it hard for a long time. A mixer is easier on the forearms and quickly produces a good mix.
This is the one I use. It costs $12.

I always use the www.vapinghardware.com E Liquid Calculator.Life is easier with a competent mixing calculator. I've been using this one for every mix from the beginning. I believe I even have the paid version. If you put in the cost of the various ingredients it will tell you what the mix cost. That's where I get my 1 cent per ml.

Any thing over 15ml I mix in a beaker. The norco hand mixer comes with a wand that fits smaller bottle necks. The badger comes with a frother blade that I believe will fit in a wide mouth PET bottle.I've been having a look a mixers and frother blades and they look good and pretty cheap. My only observation is do you have to mix in a bigger bottle or container to be able to get the mixer or frother in.
What I like about a mixing app on my phone is ability to save ingredients and recipies for future use. Liquix does that for me. I'm sure there are others.I always use the www.vapinghardware.com E Liquid Calculator.
The Badger one I linked earlier in the thread reaches the bottom of 60 and 125ml bottles.![]()
Cheers. Good to hear.Cheers. I got mine yesterday. Haven't used it in a glass bottle yet but I mixed four 200ml plastic bottles of base last night and hit them with the Badger. Saved me several long shaking sessions.
Same as you bro. Except the only PG in mine comes from the nic and flavorings, I don't add extra. Once I get the nic and flavors together, its VG all the way from there.I was wondering if you folk mix any differently to how I do it and if so why?
I make my mixes all in one go i.e add nicotine, then flavour concentrate, then PG and then VG. Once done, give it a good shake and then steep.
I've heard that others pre mix the PG, VG and Nic then store until your ready to add flavour at a later date.
How do you do it?
I don't shake manually. That is a royal PIA. Found the Badger 121 Mixer works best for me. One to two minutes w/the mixer, cap it and let it sit. The Badger mixer can be had for ~10USD, shop around. There are other decent mixer's out there that will do the same.
