I picked direct lung for both, but I am currently working on mouth inhaling with my 510 model because it reduces the throat hit and seems to also give me more vapor, which is probably because it is not sitting down in my lungs as long.

I can't figure out HOW to direct inhale on a PV.
I know how to do it on *cough, cough* "other" things - but can't seem to do it on a PV.

**Hookah = "other things" - yeah, that's a good example!:D

Most smokers...can never say all of course, but certainly the 90% gang, draw into the mouth then inhale. Some few "french inhale" which is to say a mouth ful that is then expelled slowly and sucked up the nose. (this is mostly for show..)
I would estimate some figure under 1%...way under, actually tried to breath in through an analog and succeeded long term.

My guess is that people breathing in through a vaporizor either never smoked..and didnt know how, or were unhappy with the vapor production/strength of their juice/device combo and looked for a way to upgrade the experience.

A properly functioning device with good quality juice is more than sufficent when "mouth" inhaled I would think...in some cases, a lot more than sufficient haha

Um, no. Sorry to be blunt. But just the results of the poll at the top of this page contradict you, not the mention the 4 or 5 other threads that are currently active on this very topic.

Again, no. I can't go through all this again - see my response to you in the other thread, or any of the responses I've written in the past 2 days. Plenty of us direct inhale, and yes, we know what we're doing. :)

Where's the contradiction? ok so it's not as high as 90% but 70%+ sure looks like a large majority to me

Well I do think there's a big difference between 70% and 90%. 70% puts 300% more people in the minority, if you want to look at it that way.

But I was actually referring to this:
I would estimate some figure under 1%...way under, actually tried to breath in through an analog and succeeded long term.

"Breath(e) in through an analog" here refers to direct inhaling. According to the poll above, direct inhalers make up 13.5% of respondents - more, if you count the folks who mouth-inhale when they vape, but direct inhaled when they smoked. BIG difference from "way under 1%..."

I love a good poll. I taught college statistics for 20 years. Nothing like getting real data to add some reality to the gut-feel.

I originally became interested because of my wife, but after asking around at the office (they are used to my sudden and unexplainable polls) I found that there was a minority, but otherwise large group that didn't smoke like I did.

My wife polled her office (analog smokers) and found a split there too. She thinks it's a male/female thing, but I don't think our numbers agree (I posted an earlier poll that showed a 1/3-2/3 split female-male here and the numbers there do not correllate to the numbers here). Also, from the comments to the various threads, I don't find any correllation either.

Anyway, I had originally considered French as a prototypical 'other', but it could also qualify as a 'mouth'. Now I'm really wondering what that 'other' vote meant.

I took college statistics for one semester. If you'll note my reason for editing the post above, you can probably guess that I didn't do so well. ;)

The methodology goes over my head, but I do enjoy analyzing the results... :)
