How do you justify a second Provari?

I have a purple mini and for some reason that I can't explain, I really really want a white standard. But everyday (for a couple of weeks now) I look at the Provape site, fill up my cart and I just can't pull the trigger. I don't NEED it. The extra battery life would be nice, but I could just buy the extended cap for my mini. It'd be nice to have a different color, but it's not like I'm going to carry two around...

To those of you who own more than one Provari how do you justify it? What made you buy the second one?

Backups!!
And if your backup is not as good as your primary, you'd be in a mess if the primary ever went down

If you have to justify it then don't worry about it. If you can pull it off without a financial burden then pull the trigger. It's not about what you need at this point. You already got one like I do. If you want it and can afford it then do it. (I've got a silver mini on standby). LOL.

Seems your budget/financial situation says NO. If not, then just buy a back-up unit. Mind you, I'm not an impulse buyer and if the bottom line says NO, then I'll hold the horses on it.

I bought 2 eVics so cigs cannot ever by fluke enter the fold again. And I have had to use it on 2 emergency occasions already 3 weeks into this. Sort of can't be serious about quitting smoking without at least 1 back-up device.

I had three for a while. No major justification, but it sure was nice having three ready to go at any given time.

I since traded off a couple for other PVs (variety's the spice of life, y'know), but I still keep multiple rigs filled up with different juices so I can switch flavors just by picking up another one and hitting the button.

Sounds like you want more justification than that, but it was good enough for me.

Makes much more sense in having several different RBAs than multiple identical mods. Just my two cents. :)
If I break one of my eVics, I have parts for the other. And by that time something else will probably have come out.

Maybe both eVics will conk out and I might get lucky having one left. More importantly, I bought a second one because I was very happy with the first, and probably the same reason the OP is considering buying another one.

Well, here's my situation. I have a Silver Bullet and BB that are backups, but was using the Provari (extended 18650) probably 95% of the time. I just like the ability to adjust the voltage for each of my 3-4 cartotanks that I carry with me just about everywhere. I'm spoiled by variable voltage.

I found that the full size Provari is not the most pocket worthy device. It will fit in a pants pocket, but it's tight and a hassle to get out easily. It's also not the most convenient to use in a car. And it's heavy. I'm being picky, but I noticed that I was starting to grab for the BB for quick runs to the store because of its tiny size; and much lighter in weight than the Provari. A joy to carry around compared to the Provari, but I missed the variable voltage.

I picked up a Smoktech V.V. Gripper for $50. It uses the same 18650 battery as the extended Provari. It's light, small, stealthy, fits in a shirt pocket. But the construction and durability of the impact resistant plastic is questionable, the connector pin is wobbly, and although I haven't had issues with mine yet, the battery door has been notorious to break. And like most of the cheaper V.V. mods from China, it's voltage output is 0.5-1.0 volts higher than what is set....I can live with that, I knew about it before I bought it and I compenstate for it. I just don't know how long the mod will last as my out-and-about alternative.

I wanted to get a Mini Provari before deciding on the Gripper, but couldn't rationalize $200 + a new set of batteries at the time. I'm currently planning on rewarding myself for my 1 year smoke free anniversary in April with a new Mini.

Hopefully a red one! (please Provape)

In my case, I have multiple RBA's, too, but it's easier to just pick up a PV+RBA and fire it than it is to unscrew one RBA, screw on another, then hit the button and fire it.

I was referring to ProVari owners. Good luck breaking it. ;)

Talking in general. There are ppl with 8-10 mods? Who in his right mind will need 10 mods? Spare one and buy a homeless guy a dinner or two... TEN! Nonsense and pure affectation IMHO.

When I first quit smoking and bought a cheap 510 kit, whenever I had issues I ended up smoking again and had to start over.

While it wouldn't happen now and I vape to enjoy vs. trying to quit smoking, its a bad spot to be in. I have my old LTs on standby in case of issue, but I would rather be in a position to use a ProVari as a backup.

I almost bought a backup provari, out of sheer fear my current 'only' one could fail; I've dropped it a few times, in fact, and even though it's built like a tank, you never know how much abuse a device can take before failing for good...

But in the end I've got a Vamo backup instead, for Provape doesn't want to come up with a variable power/wattage device. There's some truth in the "vote with your wallet" philosophy, after all... :)

Getting a second one was a pretty easy decision. I use both of them all the time. One has one flavor and a carto tank.. the other has another flavor and a vulcan. I got tired of having to unscrew one to use the other. Most of the time when I sit in my recliner, I have both of them beside me. I also use a madvapes vv box daily, it goes to work with me with a carto tank.. light, very portable and easy to turn on and off and conceal. But I can't adjust the voltage without a voltmeter (well.. I CAN but it's not easy)
