How do you not direct-inhale?

are you using a auto batt? i have a feeling this can be cured by using a manual, less suction is needed, "suck" on the "straw" slower with the manual. dont have to activate anything.

yeah i totally agree manual batts are easier for light draws then autos by far. Just press the button and draw slowly. Auto's you'd have to draw harder to keep activated. For me the new auto's I plugged up 2 holes and its awesome. I have both manuals and auto's. I love the manuals a lot better. The using of the button becomes second nature without much effort. And with manuals you don't really have to worry about juice dripping down the hole and mess with the switch inside.

I never direct inhaled with a cig, I couldn't handle the harshness and would have a coughing fit. So your thread gave me the idea to try it with my shorty auto, I got a big cloud of vapor...and proceeded to cough my azz off. Thanks OP.

It should lower your TH because you're pulling more air in with it - not raise it.

I was essentially dragging on the e-cig as I would a cig just for a longer amount of time - sometimes I'd get a satisfactory TH sometimes not.

Based on the straw analogy (THANK YOU, Ringo) I tried that.

I start out like I'm sucking on a straw than transition to a direct inhale and that seems to be working pretty well for a good TH - tons of vapor? Not, really but TH is more important to me as vapor is never going to be as "heavy" as smoke.

Start off with a direct inhale and cut it off mid way, continue inhaling in the mouth collecting strong vapor for that good throat hit. Good luck, happy vaping.

I always direct inhale and my husband doesn't. He explained to pretend you are drinking through a straw and I finally got it. You are breathing in as you do it but kinda more through your nose or something. You may be inhaling a little but most of the inhalation is after the draw. If that makes any sense.

I know how to do both... but I vape like I smoked which is mouth first.. then lungs..... I have never tried vaping directly though...

I'm a kind of weirdo nothing (except air) goes directly in. When I drink I hold it in my mouth before swallowing too even without a straw.
