It's closing time for me in Norcal. Lights out and Kevlar on in L.A.
Being happily used by many of it's owners!
Evolv has evolved -- need I say Kick Module, DNA12, 20, 30? And, the technology is available in boxes and tubes and whatever configuration one wants to make, even DIY, making it vary accessible. Did you perhaps not know that Evolv is the maker of the Darwin???
Please -- no more battles between the best innovators -- Provape and Evolv. We had enough of that in the olden days. My Provari's and Evolv & Evolv Inside devices get along quite fine in my vaping arsenal.
(P.S. Darwin's sell for a premium. It's value is increasing, not declining. )
Of course the Provari has been cloned, but not even close to being counterfeited. As other's have said, it started with the Lava Tube -- touted to be a Provari with a much cheaper price. Every vari tube mod since then has been a type of Provari clone with an extra bell or whistle to make it seem like more. Some are quite fine, but none are close to a provape device.![]()
I like my Sigelei Zmax Telescopic V3. This doesn't look anything like a Provari. In fact, Sigelei sells a lot more APVs that look like a Sigelei than the ones that look like Provaris. That's because Provaris look gaudy and over-styling is just plain ugly.
I like the V3 better than the Provari. It costs 25% of what a Provari costs and does more.
What Sigelei Zmax V3 does that Provari won't:
-VV/VW
-accepts 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650 and 2x18350 batteries right out of the box
-uses button top or the less expensive flat top batteries
-heavy stainless steel build
-removable top cap for easy cleaning
-510/eGo connection. The threads are one-piece stainless steel and the best on the market
-flat top cap available so wider atomizers don't look dorky on it, unlike the Provari
-one of the smalest VV/VW tube mods available

I even love the rattlesnake sound that comes from LR cartos. Lets me know the goodness is coming on the highway.
![]()
you do realize how many of those attributes also apply to the provari ??
except for the rattlesnake part,,that is from a 37mhz pulse width that is very common to all china mods
I work for TABlites in BradfordI'm in west yorkshire, where do you work/who for?
I'm desperately searching for a good B&M shop.
33.3 mhz isn't it...![]()
It is.
And now, here comes a member of the "usual suspects". A known roaring blowhard of The ProVarinati
Your points about the ProVari are valid perceptions. That does not make them universal truths. I certainly don't mind criticisms of the ProVari, it isn't a perfect device.
The single button interface bothers some people, I really like it. I don't have ANY devices with more than one button that I ever use. I have a trio of ProVarii, and a Caravela clone. They cover all the needs of my vaping profile.
No VW? Shrug. I use solely rebuilt atomizers and they are all in the same ohm range of 1.2 to 1.5. I build the wicks to handle 15 watts, so it really would't save me any time. If I really want VW, I can put my kick in my mechanical, but I never use it. The only different coil ohms I have is on the Caravela where I build to 0.7-0.8 ohms...for those times where 15 watts just isn't enough.
Basic display. Yeah, it is basic. I am not looking to watch my display, I rarely need to. I check ohms every so often, and battery power every few hours, or if I am getting ready to leave the house/office to make sure I have a fresh battery.
People say it's ugly...well beauty is a subjective thing, so there is no response to that, if its ugly to you, don't get one.
I believe version three will have a higher power range, the same unbeaten accuracy, the same build quality, the same first rate service, and some other new feature that will make it a truly unique product. I think the upgrade is timely, and ProVape should improve their flagship device...but the version 2.5 is a great mod for me exactly as it is.
Not everyone has to agree (I don't even want everyone to agree), there are lots of great mods out there, get what suits you best!
Geez....What an opening statement. I'm just pulling your chain a bit.(but you are one of the usual suspects). Seriously though, I was down at our local B$M with tax refund money burning a hole in my pocket and noticed that they now have a rather large display of provari's. I held several in hand and thought about getting a mini for my wife but she's not a battery carrying type of person and I was scared that the mini wouldn't get her through the day. Someone had mentioned that provape made a pass-through attachment that they sold on their website so I checked on that and it was 78 bucks....So the whole setup with the mini costing 195(yep) 1battery and charger 35 and the passthrough being 78, topped out over 335 dollars for a VV passthrough (tax incl.)I just couldn't do it, despite the fact that I love my wife to pieces.
As far as provaris future goes I want them to prosper, pull ahead and stay ahead, demonstrate the ingenuity that put them on the map as the premier supplier of high end ,accurate and durable mods. When version 3 comes out I will most likely purchase one because I believe provape knows what is expected of a leader. There is simply no doubt that an inconsequential "Update" would alienate a lot of people who have tirelessly advocated for the device.
I love an American company who has worked hard to put out a quality product and found great success. I not only want their next version to be successful, I want Provape to knock it out of the park. I think they are mostly responsible for the insurgence of durable, quality devices that are just a mouse click away for relative newcomers like myself. A great device sets the standard for all other devices and in doing so produces the "Rising tide effect". I am eagerly awaiting the newest Provari and if it is half as good as it should be I'll be purchasing one for my wife and then I can be in the club with you and the others and perhaps we can even run some patrols together?![]()
I know about the Kato TeleVari mod. I also know he only made 50 silver and 50 gold versions. I would appreciate a link to any other telescope ProVari mods...I've been looking for a while now.to answer the OP,,the provari has been cloned and it was a major fail !! so much so very few know about
you can buy kits to make the provari telescopic,or even handle a 26650 batt
yes there are still some MVP V1's that are still going strong, but the % is not very good at all,,button breaking and they just die are the most common problems with them
good thing the china mods are comonly putting out 33 to 37 Hertz (around 100 pulses every three seconds to provaris 800 pulses per second).
What exactly is so good about that?![]()
It was nice knowing ya.I work for...

Edit: the only current production mod I know of is the Twins ProVari Mini adapter...I already have one of those.
Not interested in the big battery mod. I saw a TeleVari for sale in Calivapors forum a year or two ago as well.Kato kits are the only TS ones i know of,,and i have only seen one gold one listed in the last 2 years ,,and it was in Japan
there is this mod kit too PowerPro 26650 Provari Modders Kit
