How important is checking ohms on rebuilds?

I know resistance is important, but if I follow someone's instructions to the letter, for instance the Scotsman on YouTube and his T3 rebuilds, shouldn't my ohms be just about the same as his ohms and therefore ok? And theoretically, if resistance was too high or too low, what could happen? I'm using a 1300mAh Spinner and a T3, by the way. Thanks!

The main issue is shorts. Even though you are using a regulated device I would highly recommend still checking your coils with a multimeter (you can get them cheap at almost any hardware store), because electronics fail unexpectedly. I just really wouldn't trust any eGo style batt for short protection.
But yes, if you follow instructions on a specific build you should get about the same ohms. Still, a + or - .3 ohm could creep in there somehow, it has happened to me.

Getting a higher resistance isn't a problem. You'll just need more energy to get to the same power levels. A lower resistance, you'll need to be mindful of your batteries continuous current rating. Make sure your battery will handle about 20% more current than you're aiming for to give you some wiggle room.

Ten bux for a multi tester or the possibility of buying another Spinner. Besides the majority of issues that we run into can be quickly and easily diagnosed with a multi tester- should be in every vapers toolkit cuz countless times we hear of issues and the frustration of not being able to easily and properly diagnose the problem- becomes a guessing game.
