How long the head lasts really depends on the juice, your vaping habits, etc. With my heavy dark juice I need to clean mine at least every two tanks, better every tank.

The coil will burn out, eventually, just like any other coil, but I don't think there is any default time yet. Mine has lasted over a month with average to light vaping. Others had them burn out earlier.

There is really no reason that I can see for the tank itself to break, but there are tubes available if one is dropped and breaks or something.

On the cleaning question... it will depend on what juice you vape... some juices you will be able to refill a lot of times and some will clog the coil after only a tank full... just like any other CE2 style vaporizer really. The type of cleaning... ie just rinsing with water, soaking in PGA and/or needing a dry burn will also depend on the juice.

Longevity of the coils... I got my first one on 12 June, 2012 and I've been rotating through 6 heads on 2 Vivi Nova's... I need to clean mine daily due to the juices I've been vaping ( which is likely more than you'll need ) and I've only broken one of the coils when I was dry burning them ( it was my error that caused it to break )... the other 5 have been working fine. The reason I cycle through 6 heads is simply so I don't have to clean one immediately after I vape a tank full....

thanks for the reply guys!

i only vape Halo juice (90 percent of the time menthol ice), from what ive heard, there juice is pretty easy on coils and attys.

maybe thats why im getting pretty good performance from my first head?

I'm not familiar with that juice, but I would add that the voltage you vape at also will affect head life. The higher the voltage, the more stress it puts on the coils and the faster they burn out.

If you're able to get more than 10ml's per head out of it, I call that a win.

Since the replacement heads are so cheap, you don't have to try and pump out every last vape out of these nearly as much as other expensive devices.

I'd definitely try cleaning them and all that, but if they start to falter after 10 ml's I would just pop a new one on.

I used to try and keep my Fluxomizer's going for way too long and the vapor was just unsatisfying. Nothing beats a brand new one (Freshly modded, of course!).

On my days that I vape heavily... I'll vape almost 6ml through the 2 Vivi Nova's... on the 12th of this month each of my heads that I've used will have worked for a month ( remember I posted that I rotate through 6 heads on 2 VN's ) and they are performing and tasting well still... I typically vape at about 7w and as I mentioned I dry burn after each tank

Someone vaping at higher watts ( as Ctor pointed out ) is much less likely to get the "mileage" I do... still I believe that to be great mileage...

Yup. I'm all about the cartos / tanks with replaceable heads. Best thing to hit the market IMHO. I've been using the Stardust with the replaceable heads and they are just awesome. I've even been vaping 60VG/40PG juice on them with no problems at all. I'm a chain vaper during the day and can go through a lot of juice if I'm busy at work. When the draw gets too tight and/or (I can tell) the coils are getting gunked up - I swap em out, let the head soak in some hot water, then plain white vinegar, rinse, dry, dry burn and then swap the heads..

Probably the easiest to maintain of any of the devices I've used. About to pick up a mini-Vivi Nova :)

Ive been using the same 2.4 ohm head with trimmed wicks, at 4.2v with snickerdoodle cookie, refill every day and have cleaned 4 times since 28 june. My bc 3ml phoenix has my Bobas in it for those times i REALLY want a smoke, ie im pissy about something.

Im gonna order some more VN for my father in law as these have replaced stardusts as the least fiddly, best tasting carto.
