I got my first PV (NJoy - NCig) just to give e-cigs a try. I did notice that my cigarette smoking dropped dramatically without trying. I was toying with the idea that this might work for quitting, but hadn't committed to anything.

Late one night, 10 days into vaping, I was headed outside to smoke & discovered my pack was empty. I knew I had a couple of packs left but couldn't find them.

Since I live way out in the country, I decided I didn't want to drive 10 miles to buy any, which should've been my first clue that something was up. I decided that since I had my PV, I could get by until morning.

When morning came, I discovered I didn't WANT to buy any. Haven't had the urge for even a drag from a cancer stick since that night.

On edit: Oh! Three days after that night, I found the 2 packs and they were exactly where they were supposed to be. I still have those 2 packs as my trophies! I like looking at them every now & then and mentally flipping them the bird.

I wasn't even seriously considering quitting, but since the 4th day of having my VK, I haven't had another analog. I had 4-5 cigs each of the first 3 days, only when I really felt like I had to have one, and then never got around to lighting up on the 4th day. I had some mild cravings for the first couple of weeks, but they were nothing at all - I never had that "caged animal" feeling that I'd gotten with previous attempts to quit. I have vowed to not become a "reformed smoker", but now that i can really smell again, cigarettes have no appeal at all.

since i got my VK, i've had <1 analog in going on 36 hours. that one i had because i was jonesing for a morning smoke yesterday morning. i was this morning too... but i think the carton is in the truck. and the weather is yucky, so i just... didn't. this is hilarious to me because three days ago i prob would have hiked 2 miles in the snow, nekked, for a smoke. today i was like, "but i'll be cold. and my feet will get wet. f*** that." *vape*

i don't know that i've quit completely, forever, but i've quit insofar as any inconvenience is too much.

I bought my last carton and decided when I wanted one I would vaped first, if I still wanted a cig, would allow myself one.

When I was down to the last pack (about 2 weeks) I was done buying them! Had one cig after 3 months (blech) and have been vaping for 9 months as of yesterday! YaY!

It took me a week Michelle, I orderd 18mg on my first run, and I would have 1-3 analogs a day, other than the funeral we had the Saturday after Thanksgiving, I was a chimeny that day!
I went to bed early Sunday morning, like 4 or 5 am and haven't had one since. Upping my level to 36mg helped me a lot! I am planning on stepping down to 24mg now, thats what my last order was.
I still look at my pouches of Samson longingly now and again, I just love that flavor! But I am planning on going two months then stuffing one up and hope it tastes nasty!
Don't beat yourself up, thats what I did at first, I read on here people dropping them right away, sometimes you can't! I didn't want to stop, but I had to stop!
I got nothing but encouragment from this group who also supported me durning all of this. You can do it, it just might be a little harder than some of the others have had it.
