What the title says, how long did it take you to convert from smoking regular cigs to e-cigs? also why did you make the switch?

For me it took 3 days. I was just vaping in the mornings. Then on the 3rd day I said to my self im going to try and not smoke tomorrow morning and it was quite easy. haven't had a cig since then. I was actually surprised how easy it was.

The reason i made the switch was because normal cigs were giving me terrifying chest pains, couldn't do karate good and really bad anxiety

YEARS!! Literally. Reason was because of the devices i was using were underpowered to provide the tingling feeling/general feeling in my lungs that really satisfied my urges. It sounds weird but i need that suffocating feeling of a dense vape.... Yup weird but until i got to sub ohm and dual coil i was not satisfied... went throught the whole gamete though i went from single coil 2.4 ohm to single coil .5 ohm to dual coil where i am without missing a step in between.

I quit after a few weeks of doing both.
I had those skinny little cig-a-likes, but one day, went out for a smoke, and realized I really would prefer to vape - cuz it tasted better. Stopped smoking. I wasn't even TRYING or PLANNING on quitting smoking...
That was just about exactly 4 years ago.

I started about 2 months ago, because I got to do training abroad for 3 weeks, and cigs were quite expensive there. So I thought if I were spending money to buy cigs for 3 weeks, I'd had a vape starter kit with batteries and some juices ti get through 3 weeks for about the same price.
But when I return home, I vape and smoke sometimes, as I still can't get the right flavour to replace cig flavour(cause nothing as strong as cigs flavour), but from 25-30 cigs a day, now I vape about 10ml with 3mg nic a day and smoke 1-2cigs only.

Once I bought my first vape and tried it, I never smoked again.

I wanted to quit as we had a baby in our mid 40's and when she turned 3 and I was 47, I thought it would be a smart thing to do. I don't miss the stinky breath, car and clothes and my wife (who started vaping last May) and I are saving a large portion of the $7000 we were spending annually on smokes.

It took me 2 years to swap completely was a dual user for that 2 years . Been quit completely for 5 and a half years. Just glad I made it in the end. For the first couple of years the equipment was rubbish but I sore the potential. I stopped for health and financial reasons.
Vape on.

The same day I started. Never intended quitting, just didn't pick up a cigarette again. Well that's a bit of a lie. I was in my van with flat batteries about a month after I started vaping. I still had half a pack in the cab, so I lit up. Lasted all of two puffs.

The day I started vaping my daily cigs went from 25 to 5 with no effort. But I decided to be a dual user until I was certain I'd never stop vaping (6 weeks) so if I failed to eliminate cigs I'd only be going back to 5 a day. That took the pressure off and i succeeded. A brother of mine was a dual user for 10 months before going to zero cigs. I think if you never stop vaping sooner or later you'll stop smoking.

I bought my first ego kit around the time my daughter was born. To be honest I dont remember if it was before or after but what can I say? It was a busy time lol! Finally smoking my last cigarette came about a week after purchasing my vape, it wasnt really a conscious decision more of having a smoke before bed then waking up the next day and not smoking and then realizing weeks later that I still havent smoked lol.

I started vaping because I didnt want my daughter to ever see me smoking. I hope to eventually quit vaping but I do really enjoy the hobby side of it!
