How long did it take you to despise the taste/smell of analogs when you started vaping?

Took me about a week or two, literally tasted like an ash tray and couldn't finish the whole cigarette.

I was sick of the taste and the smell (especially the smell) a long long time ago. I thought that the only alternatives were those things you see Dorff and McCarthy peddling all over TV. I had something similar to that once and just hated it. Nothing worked for me. Not patches, not gum not pills.... It wasn't until about a few weeks ago that I discovered things like the eGo batteries and Kanger T3S tanks. I tossed two full packs of cigarettes and a can of chew the same day I brought home a starter kit and haven't looked back. I get done vaping and sometimes the rooms smells like air freshener lol I'd been a tobacco user for almost 16 years, which is more than half my life. I got started early like a lot of smokers do. I haven't had a single urge for a regular cancer stick since. I can vape in the car! I never allowed myself to smoke in the car because of how it stunk and the way it made the car stink. I couldn't even stand the smell of someone smoking in another car at a stop light.

Only took me a few days. My wife still hits the analogs...but nothing like she did prior to vaping. She stands outside on the back porch and I can smell the stench coming wafting in with the breeze. Horrid odor...I can't believe I used to enjoy it. I take that back...I used to LOVE it. Not now.

Yeah, I'd say about a week or two is when I first noticed it.

I always knew my mom's house smelled of cigarette smoke, and I actually don't mind that smell much... being where/how I grew up, it smells like "home", lol. I did notice rather quickly though, that I hated how I smell when I leave her house now. Trying to get her to switch, but she's not ready. Took a year's worth of nagging from a friend before I made the switch, so I figure she will too when the time is right. I just keep trying to give her good info and encouragement.

The one time I smoked since I had quit (around the 3 month mark during the holidays), I noticed that my clothes and hands INSTANTLY reeked after about 1/4 of that first cigarette. Such a potent, nasty scent. I can't believe that I and everything I owned used to smell like that all the time... ugh.

Hey,

I stopped smoking immediately after buying my first e-cig. Within a week I could smell cigarette smoke a mile off - and it wasn't pleasant.
After a couple weeks my first tank broke and I had no back up whilst waiting for another in the post. So I bought myself some tobacco and filters. Rolled one, lit it up... I swear it taste like I just poured the contents of an ash tray into the paper and rolled it up. It scraped down my throat like it was lined with glass. This coming from someone who actually enjoyed the taste of tobacco for 6 years.

Couldn't agree more with. I hated when I smoked. Really heavy smoker and hated everything about it except
nicotine. Love vaping. Would never ever have another ciggie!!
Yeh I hated smoking so much it used to make me gag. Nearly lost my lunch a few times. That was only in my last few months of smoking though, and I smoked for 27 years. Strange how my body was starting to reject the whole thing. Then vaping saved my life.

Hey, you're from Yamba! I was there in Nov 2012 at some cool vintage car show. Check it out

Well, now I feel weird saying this since I don't find the smell that offensive, I actually kinda like it a little bit when I smell it outside (never liked when people smoke in closed spaces), and I like the smell of fresh tobacco from the pouch.
That being said, it's been 4 months and I've had a few analogs since then (less than 5) and the last time I tried was at my cousin's wedding last month. it was like a horrid burning going down my throat, nothing pleasant about it at all so I put it out after a few half hearted drags and wished that I'd brought my vaping gear. Would have preferred butterscotch flavour over burning plant matter.

After 19 months vaping I still love the smell. The last time I smoked a cigarette was probably 16 months ago and I loved it. Felt like a teenager who stole a couple from dad to smoke in the woods and I could really taste the tobacco. I knew then that I had to stay away. I'm still planning on a cigar day every fall when the time changes...I figure it's a free hour that doesn't count...that's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it.
