hmmmmm.... been vaping since march last year but completely laid off analogs 2 months ago... i used to smoke 2 packs a day... when i got a hold of my pv it went down to one... a few months passed by half pack a week then 3-5 sticks per day... then 1/ week...

i'm so glad i got a hold off a pv because i've tried EVERY method i could think off... tried the patches, they dont taste good and prone to choking... i tried the nicotine gums but i couldn't keep'em lit :D

I quit the day i got my Riva 510 back in October.
I wasn't completely ready to quit smoking, but i really wanted to test out the el. cigarettes.
Once i tried it I was sold, didn't feel the need to smoke analogs.
I had a little craving the first few days after having dinner etc. out of old habits, but once i vaped those cravings
dissapeared.
I had a pack of cigarettes lieing around, but threw it out around a month after starting to vape.
A month in or so,I was drunk and decided to try an analog,it just tasted bad,and it barely had any smoke in it!
Nothing compared to the clouds of vapour i had gotten used to.

A guy at work saw me vaping, and wanted me to order a kit.
I did,and now he's been smokefree for a couple of months.
Another 3 people at work want me to order for them, and im sure there will be more.
I'm happy to convert anyone who shows an interest in them
They don't want to read into it all,so im doing the job for them.
I've just started making my own juices, and i will make for them aswell.

I had decided to quit smoking on the 16th October 2011, I got myself some patches and gave my smokes away. By the third day I knew this would not work and someone at work was talking about e-cigs so I googled them and found "elusion e-cig" very much like the blu you all talk about. Well I was surprised by the concept and ordered some but quickly discovered this was expensive way to keep up the supplies so I started researching more and found videos on utube and found ECF!!! At this stage I was still NOT smoking but finding it harder by day to stay away from them, I finally found 510's and then EGO's all were ok but I didn't need an EGO as I didn't want to suck on the exhaust pipe 24/7 and I found the cartomizer/atomizer/cartridges/tanks a bloody nightmare!!! On New Years Eve I smoked (crazy hey) and then I found VOLT from Smokeless Image. I am now a very satisfied ex smoker. I also had issues finding juice I liked. My favourite juices were the sweet flavours from FSUSA and I was reluctant to try others but i did try Smokeless Image flavours and now I have finally found my one stop shopping!! So after all those challenges I am proud to say except for NYE I have not smoked since I started my quit journey. However if I did "try a cig" I wouldn't beat myself up over it as I've avoided thousands already!!!

Well after lurking her for a month or so this seemed like a good thread to start posting with. I starting vaping about a month or so ago. Was a pack and a half a day smoker and almost immediately dropped down to around a 1/2 pack a day. Not pressuring myself to quit, trying different juices in my volt cartos to find one that I really like. I do keep a running count of how many analogs I smoke and write the number onto a calender. I am finding that although the urges still come the analogs taste worse and worse while the juices taste better. I definitely feel better with one less pack a day and my wallet thanks me!

Received 3:30 PM 2/20.
Last analog 12:30 AM 2/21.

Still have 9 in the pack on a shelf, no desire to touch them.

Desire to get more PV stuff... through the roof! :p

25 years on analogs, and this morning I didn't even have the morning cravings that bad.

Should probably note that I tried the alternatives in the past and they didn't cut it. Always struggling against wanting an analog, even while using the said alternative.

I can't believe it, but it took me just about 2 years. I always liked my PV in the morning, but after breakfast I went straight to an analog. I tried many times to go full vape, but just could not do it. I was not till I was very tired of smoking and discovered dripping that I was able to fully quit. It has now been 3 weeks and I have no desire to ever pick up an analog again.

I hadn't even intended to quit my 2-3 PAD habit, but I quit the minute the battery was charged on my first e-cig on 5-27-10. I put 2 lbs of fine Virginia blend tobacco in the freezer and put my rolling machine and 4 cartons of filtered tubes in a closet and never saw them again until I gave them to a friend a few months later.

I smoked a little of both analogs and my 510 box mod for maybe a week and a half? Went from smoking a pack a day, to a pack over 5 days that first week. Then had a pack that I made sure to finish over the weekend and haven't had one since. That was 3 weeks ago.

I don't even think about it. I brought it up to the GF yesterday that I don't even think about it. I needed a lighter and didn't have one, I don't even feel any different that I don't have to run to the store every day to get a pack. It's weird how fast I adapted.

I quit the day my ProVari arrived. I had tried a Blu disposable a few weeks prior. I didnt like the Blu but I quickly realized that it did take the edge off and kept me sane. So I just went all in. I was still chewing while waiting for my packages. Granted I had long switched from analogs to chew, but it worked great. 5 weeks in now without any urges or relapses. I guess with combining habits I had been on tobacco about 16-17 years.

I suppose in theory it took me over 3 years; I bought a DSE 103 mini cig after reading an article in an engineering journal about them, at the time they were about all you could easily get in the uk. I used it on and off part time for years, but I had mostly resigned the whole concept to the novelty and fad area of my life.

Then in September last year two friends started vaping one with an ego t and the other with a screw driver; both were lighter smokers than me, and whilst they were singing the devices praises I was dubious; but figured I didn't have a lot left to lose, I'd tried everything over the years from yoga and hypnotherapy to patches, zyban and champix. I bought an Ego T kit and it arrived the next day, I've never touched a cig since and that was nearly 5 mths ago now. Like somebody else here I occasionally get dissatisfied with my kit but have never wanted a cig, funny thing is though my two friends still smoke from time to time, so it obviously works differently for different people and how many cigs you have before you start vaping seems to have little bearing on it. :D
