I probably could have stopped after a week, but I had bought a carton not knowing if these would work and I wasn't about to throw them away. It also gave me the chance of working out the kinks and having something to fall back on.

First few days and I was down from 2PAD to 4-5 cigs. By the end of the week I was only smoking 1-2 and just trying to get rid of them. Saved the 'real' cigs for the cravings and supplemented with the E-cig. Got some even higher nicotine juuice for the cravings and then just burnt the cigs to not have any around anymore.

Did find a pack in the car last week, from that last carton, and haven't had the urge to get them at all.

I had one cigarette while learning to use the ecig. I did have battery charging problems twice in the first two weeks where I was stuck with no charged battery and had 1/2 cig while I waited for one battery to charge a bit. That was it.

I was afraid of equipment failure and carried my cigs and lighter in the wrong pocket for 2 weeks. Meanwhile I bought spares and a charger for work and then I moved the cigs and lighter into a plastic bag in the trunk of the car. I never needed them.

Like many I got antsy before the end of the first month and I bought 2 better models. I started carrying both which gives me even more backup. Later I added a charged fat 3.7v battery to what I carry.

before I discovered ejuice I would buy mixed cartos whenever I had enough money to get ripped off. I was spending more on ecigs toward the end when the quality of the cartos dropped dramatically. I was fed up until I had an epiphany that there has to be a cheaper better way, which is how I found this site.

since my first order of ejuice and new hardware arrived 19 days ago I've had zero analogs and few cravings which seem to have stopped completely. though I think it was easier for me once finding a cheap and consistent supply of ejuice because I hated everything about cigarettes but the nicotine and because I only smoked about six light spirits daily.

whenever I get a craving I think of how after putting on a smoking jacket, hat and gloves, holding my arm out away from my body, tilting my head up to inhale, washing my hands and face, brushing my teeth and using mouthwash that I and my girlfriend could still smell that horrid odor. now I can't even imagine going through all that, sitting on my couch and smoking with no awful lingering odors is literally three million times better.

I guess technically it took me 11 months since trying my first ecig but once I got a proper setup and gained knowledge it was instant.

I bought my first PV, pen style of course, about 4 or 5 months before I finally quit, which coincided with buying a much better pen style. Before that I rarely used the first PV as it made me cough something fierce and the battery dies so quickly. I no have three of the better ones, called Cigalectric but expect my Provari to arrive tomorrow! That should completely seal the deal.

I have tried a few e-cigs before and found that the battery didn't last, I ran out of carts, etc and just fell back into smoking analogs. 2 weeks ago I got an 'ultimate' kit that had spare batteries, car charger, power ecig, etc and now I've completely lost the taste for smokes. There are 2 packs on to of the fridge I bought right before my kit came in. One pack I had already opened and smoked a half here and there, but I haven't touched them in a week now. They taste icky to me now. What I love about vaping vs. smoking is that I believe it's safer than the patch, gum or drugs for quitting smoking. I won't have to face the 'weight gain' that usually comes with quitting smoking. I enjoyed my smokes quite alot, so quitting was just not an option and this is the much better choice for me. So far it's working.

Except for one thing: Woke up a couple of days to severe dizziness. Noticed some joint pain at night. The reason is that I hadn't been taking in enough fluids. Apparently, the pg used in the vapor liquid contained in the cartomizers can cause dehydration. I'm boosting my fluid intake so hopefully no more of that business.

Vape on.

I quit the same day I got my starter kit with a bunch of flavors. I was so enthralled with vaping and trying new flavors that I didn't want to take time away from it by smoking. A couple of weeks after quitting, I tried to smoke an analog but it was so nasty that I knew I would never smoke again. That was over a year ago (after 25 years of smoking).

There's an e-cig shop that's been down the stree from me for a while. I always wondered how the things worked, and if it would help me quit smoking. Well, went down there one day, and decided to go for it. Glad I did. Haven't smoked an analong since the day I picked up this little pen. Now I have a GLV on the way. Super excited!
