i quit smoking analogs the sam day i got my ecig but i did start with 36mg juice so i wouldnt get cravings and i was chain vaping for awhile now im down to 12mg and doing just fine. everyone is a little different you will be fully off analogs in no time
Essentially I quit the day I started vaping. I did light up the last single analog I had a few days in and found it revolting. That's not to say I didn't miss it for a while; the sensation is different - but I haven't missed it for a long time now. A couple of months ago I took a drag of someone's Dunhill out of curiosity (never tried one before) but it did absolutely nothing for me, and that made me very happy.
For me it was easy I keep telling myself that I enjoy e-cigs better than analogs. I did however have a few cigarettes just to compare and see if I really did miss smoking or if it was just the withdrawals from the other chemicals. I noticed the first three days were the worst, after which it became alot easier I started with the 24mg nicotine juice and also bought a 18mg juice. My plan is to slowly lower the dose of nicotine into my system and then just vape on no nicotine fluid. Great for you for starting vaping and congrats on your new life change. Where abouts are you in Canada I am located in Ottawa.
I quit on Day 3 when I realized I had to use my Ecig a LOT more often than I puffed on a real cig I was a light smoker at 12 cigs a day. I use my Ecig 4X as much as I did a real cig.
And for the bad times when panic was filling my chest and I was jonesing for a real cig- I used a higher mg nic juice and that worked and calmed me down. I carried that lil emergency 24 mg juice with me for months but only needed it the first 2 months. The panic hasn't happened in the last 6 months but I still have that 911 juice if I need it!
My pack and lighter are sitting on my desk, where I laid them, when the UPS guy delivered my Revolution X. Haven't touched them since...and no real desire for an analog. After 25 years and 2 packs/day, I'm pretty sure I'm done with analogs for good!
I wasn't planning on quitting. I just wanted something I could use in the house (no indoor smoking clause in the lease) instead of freezing my .... off in the winter. I was extremely disappointed in my first e-cig so I bought a Riva and just kind of forgot about smoking. I decided that I liked vaping more than smoking and kept with it. That was over 8 months ago.
after about a week I stopped having one smoke in the morning one before bed. Just started tasting horrid. Then quitting while out at the bar took another few months. Was really hard to get to the point where I could drink without the smokes. Now 2 years since my first e cig, the thought of smoking a cig is a joke. Very strange looking back at something that was so much a part of my life and seeing how silly it was. Don't force it. It will happen.
I am on day 2 of smoking my e-cig and still smoking. Yesterday I only had 2 smokes and today I plan on having just one. I am having a hard time giving up the morning smoke.
I switched to vaping almost immidiately but you are doing amazing don't stress about needing a cig or two right now. As you get through the learning curve with your e-cig you will eventually learn that you can trust your e-cig when you get a craving and won't need a cig anymore. Even if you never get to that point smoking 1 or 2 cigarettes is way healthier thaen smoking packs! BTW smoking just 1 or 2 on your 2nd day is amazing progress! Keep it up!
When I first started it was 2 or 3 months before I finally gave up analogs then a month solid without an analog but I have unfortunetly had about one a week for the last month and a half. So it takes time I wish I was one that could say I quite the same day I picked up my first pv but everyone is different. All I can say is be patient and it will come when it comes.
I quit the day I started using my kit. If mornings are your problem, I suggest getting a higher mg strength just for that purpose. Use a higher mg to get you going and then lower it down to your ususal strength. It helped me...mornings were the toughest for me not to light up a cig.
A little over 5 months ago, I received my starter kit in the mail and planned to quit smoking at the start of the next day. However, I was so excited to quit smoking and start vaping that I quit at 5pm that very day I received it. I haven't had an analog since.
It seems everyone has their own story. The fact that you still have one in the morning is no big deal if you ask me. You will let it go when you are ready.
Took me about 2 weeks to quit smoking analogues. It got to the point where they tasted like azz. My PV tasted waaaay better and actually gave me a better throat hit.
Took me about 3 days. That was three weeks ago.
This week I was having some beers with friends and really wanted to have an analog.
I got one from a friend, lit it up, took a few drags and was disgusted by the taste. Put it out then and there.
I don't think I'll be touching one any time soon
I really really didnt expect it to be this easy; i was a 1 pack a day smoker...
