Forgive me if this has already been posted...

3 weeks for me.

Thanks for sharing your story.

My Story?

Thanks to the internet and forums like this one I am learning fast what a waste it is to spend $ on the V2Cig and their "toys". I don't mean to bash their product as I am sure there is a place for everyone but....

In the US a few weeks ago I decided to help a friend kick the habit by purchasing V2 started kits and cartridges and then bringing them back to where we live in South America - eCigs are not really available here.

But in doing so I bought some for myself and enjoyed. I was never really a smoker, occasionally here and there, and I do enjoy a good cigar about once a month. I am a believer in nicotine being really bad when burned in a dried out tobacco leaves and mixed with chemicals and set on fire. But that's old news. (RIP Uncle Eddie)

Scientific American had an article a few days ago where nicotine is being used to increase memory function and slow Alzheimers. You can google that. The study itself took place a few years ago but the article is recent.

So I am purchasing new gear and better juice and wanting to contribute to this forum that has helped me (read: consumed 5 of my hours a day for the last 6 days). Brian overload - but I am getting a Provari Mini dammit!

I was using them for about 3 of my 10 non smoking months. I thought they were the greatest thing ever until i went to the local B&M looking for juice and he all but laughed at me and my setup. He was a new shop and in looking for new clients donated an evod kit with my $15 juice purchase. Needless to say I frequent his place quite often, and not for any V2 stuff :p

I used my V2 set-up for about 3'ish months but was seeking out better equipment that last month. They do have a great warranty on their equipment, I'll give them that, even if it doesn't keep you on it. I keep it around for someone wanting to give it a try and it's small size and the lil' clearo's are great to try out small samples of juice. Yep, I gotta justify using them now LoL. I've come a long way since then and the Provari became part of my arsenal because of it's exceptional warranty and repair option. I knew I was in this for the long haul and need items that can hang tough.

Used V2 with the replaceable cartridges for a few weeks and it barely was cutting it for me , did my research and asked around and it seemed everyone was strongly recommending the Innokin MVP 2.0 .

Wow, were they right , best $35.00-40.00 i ever spent , simply awesome and the battery last for days without needing to charge it.

My middle period/2nd phase (after V2) starts when I receive what I ordered today - a bit more costly than your 2nd phase but...

Kanger Protank Mini (eGo)
Dual Coil 1.8ohm heads
going on a Vision Spinner 1300 mAh (also eGo of course)

I guess this will be my street kit once I upgrade to the Provari Mini with a regular Protank - not sure I have the wherewithal to do the Z Atty fiddling.

The V2 was the first kit I ordered, along with an eGo starter kit. I've used 3 of the included cartridges and have never touched it since. For me it was a terrible waste of money and I should have returned it for a refund. I was so afraid that my eGo kit would fail so I kept the V2 kit in case I needed it for an emergency. Better than going back to analogs. Fortunately no emergencies arose and I have other backup gear now.

If someone brand new asked me what to buy and said they were considering the V2 I'd tell them to save their money and offer up some other suggestions. I still use the eGo from time to time for juices that I rarely vape but like to have around, ready and loaded. I might use it for a short vape session 1 or 2 times every two weeks. And it's a good backup to carry in my Jeep, if it were to be stolen I wouldn't be out a lot of money. Just one battery and a CE4.

Anyway, that's my opinion on the V2. It might work fine for others but I give it 0 stars.

Given all the gear I've bought (V2 kit, nemes, carts, clearos, Kayfun, Russian 91, MVP 2.0, VTR, SVD etc etc) I'm going to end up keeping a couple of eGo batteries, a couple of Protank Mini 2s, the MVPs and my 2 Reos with the Reomizer attys to go with them. The rest is just wasting space....

I'm keeping the MVPs, have 2 of them, because they're great for testing coils builds for my Reos (I don't sub-ohm,) and I can charge my cell phone from them if the power goes out :)

Yeah, the REO is calling my name.....has been for some time :)

I have two MVP2's and they will always be among my favorite go to's. I was putting away my gear tonight cuz' I gotta watch a 15 month old in the morning and the MVP's stayed out as did the Provari. One Mech made it and that's it....I need to down size. I gotta get verified and unload some stuff :|

I just can't believe how much money I spent on a v2 mega kit when I first started vaping. I think I spent about $140 on three batteries, plus a passthrough, pcc, and a few carts. Geez.

I think the products work fine for what they are (808's); it's just that they're overpriced. I soon replaced the carts with Kanger esmart clearos, which helped. And I still buy a bottle of v2 red tobacco juice, which I do like pretty well, every quarter, to keep my battery warranty intact (and they do honor the battery warranty).

Bottom line, v2 was my only e cig for about a month, and then I found ECF, bought 2 iTastes, and an evod as a backup to my backup, and don't really rely on the v2's any more. But I still carry them occasionally when I want something small and damage-resistant.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Reo. Rob (maker of the Reo) just came out with an improved sub-ohm kit which is standard now on Reos. Even if you don't sub-ohm they're higher quality parts than what came before. I'll be ordering the kits for mine when I have the money. And, if you find the Reo isn't to your liking they last about 10 minutes in the classies :) It's hard to go wrong with them. The RM2 attys to go with them are great as well. I think you'll be pleased. And the customer support is second to none. Stop by the Reo sub-forum if you haven't already. Might help you pick which one. I've got a grand, and a mini and love both. The form factor of the mini is nicer for me but I use both daily.

I should have sold my unused gear to fund my Reos but I wanted them and I wanted them now! :)

I still use my V2 mini tanks from time to time, mostly when I need an extremely small stealth vape.

I still use mine as well, typically use the Halo mini tanks because I have a bunch and they're cheap. I used a V2 battery and a Halo G6 battery with Minitanks today, just because I can throw them in my pocket so easily. I've always got something bigger and better close by, but I can do without an APV for a few hours if need be.

Edit; I think the V2 prefilled carts are terrible.

I still like the Sahara flavor, I guess because that is what I started with and got me off of analogs. If you are still using their mini ex tanks, then you ought to order one or two of these

They can be widened with a flat head screwdriver or some mini pliers and will then fit your tank so that the whole setup will look like a pen and clip to your shirt pocket or anywhere else you would clip a pen. If I don't have a shirt pocket, I'll clip mine to the inside of my collar, etc.

You can find them on amazon by searching for "Space Pen Clip".

V2cigs was my first stab at e-cigs about a year ago, trying to quit analogs. Spent about $60 on their starter kit, only lasted a few days on it then went back to analogs. A few weeks ago, went to the doctor's with a chronic cough and wheezing - long story short, it turned out to be good time to quit for good! :) Luckily a co-worker turned me on to MyVaporStore - started there and discovered VV batteries, ejuice and such. Been smoke-free for about 3 weeks now! Currently using a Vision Spinner 1300mah + Kanger Protank 3, but just ordered a Vamo V5 and Aspire Nautilus - can't wait to get my hands on them!

On a positive note, the V2Cigs starter kit box is great for holding my gear and juices! For now, anyway, growing out of it quick!

I used the pre filled cartridges for awhile and was about to buy an Evod/Ego type kit but nearly everyone on this site convinced me otherwise and said buy an MVP and skip the Evod/Ego stuff , you will be glad you did and they were right .

I did try those and they were better than the V2 stuff but when i bought an MVP , Wow, what a game changer.
