But what strength should I get? I tried 40w and that was too weak. I tried 60w, and that was too strong. Should I just get 100w and cut it in half? Who else has tried this? How did it work for you?

Lu

If you mix your 40w and 60w in equal quantities, you get 50w.

I hate to admit it, but after a very stressful point in my life, I went back to candles, and have been using them for the last year and a half. After much urging from the wife, I am now trying to get back into bulbing. I came back to the forum just to discover that the whole bulbing scene has changed so much! When I was last here, it was all about incandescents! I have no idea where to begin! Any advice?

Angus, candles are old technology and bulbs/electricity is too expensive.

My advice to you is to go with a gas lantern, maybe even two of them. One for you and one for the missus. :D

No way! I've heard of those, and read on another forum where people were using illicit chemicals in the fuel. The last thing we need is to give the EPA more ammo against us!

Well, it is true that some dim watt (stolen from Classy, lol) can put illegal chemicals in the fuel, but on this forum, we only use 100% pure e-fuel.
