Dave, maybe a couple of drops. Is there a reason you're going with LorAnn? Convenience? If not I would suggest going somewhere like here where the vendor has tested the flavors and carries the ones most desired by vapers. Personally I like Capella's Double Chocolate and Capella's Vanilla Custard hands down over others. These would be a good start to sprucing up some of your pre-made e-liquid.

I am at freedomsmokeusa and strictlyejuice and I am noticing that flavorings are pretty cheap so is the nicotine 500ml of 36mg for $85 at strictlyejuice and 5ml of flavoring for $5.69. I am thinking about starting to diy my juice because of the cost but many ml would I need to use all 500ML of juice?

Son et Lumiere, I wouldn't buy all my flavoring at once. You don't want to get stuck with flavoring that you grew tired of. Buy as you need them. Cappela's makes a nice concentrated line. I bought some RY4 Flavoring Concentrate from TheVaporPro (Wicked Vapor) and 1 drop is used for 6-10ml of unflavored Nic eLiquid.

Son et lumiere, the amount of flavoring you'll need depends on what mg you vape. If you vape 18mg then your 500ml of 36mg will make 1000ml and at 15% flavoring that would be 150ml of flavoring needed. But like breaktru said, it's best not to buy all your flavoring at once. One you may love today may taste like dirty dishes later down the road as taste buds change. Also part of the fun with this hobby is experimenting with different flavors. "Food grade" flavorings will never be banned so no need to stock up on those.

Where are you seeing this? I checked their unflavored nic juice and the drop down offers a max size of 30mls of 36mg for $9.95 = $166 for 500mls.
