If they are half as good as the fan boys make out you only need 1, 2 if you want a stealthy one as well. Obviously they can't be that good if you need 4 and are unsure if that's enough. I have 1 Vamo and it's enough, same 15W so will produce the same vape and can use different batteries.

This coming from a Vamo user? They can't be that good? LOL You can use different batteries because your Vamo has no protection built into it.

I have two 2.5 Provari's and will be ordering number three on 11/17 when Provape puts the P3 for sale on their site.

You and Stevegmu have imo, through your various posts, self identified as among the most rabid and therefore least objective Provari fanboys. That's fine. You like Provari's. I get it.

But imo anyone that feels the need for more than 2 of any device has become nothing more than a collector with no real need involved. Wants and needs are different. If your wants and budget are such that you can afford any number of any device then by all means knock yourself out. It's your money and you're free to spend it in any way you see fit.

And before the usual kind of accusations start to fly - I have 2 Provari's - 1 configured for 18650's and one mini. They're okay considering their limitations yet unsurpassed track record of build quality, durability and customer support.

But no one truly NEEDS 5, 6 or more of them or any other device.

One is enough for me. It's so reliable I don't feel the need for a backup, and with an extra Tatroe ring (on a ProVari mini) I can use all three battery sizes as I please.

My next mod is going to be something different, because variety is the spice of vape. I'm on the fence about the P3, and drooling all over the DNA40 board. Time will tell. I'm certainly in no hurry to replace my ProVari 2.5, and I've got my shinyitis somewhat under control at the moment.

The OP wasn't asking about other mods. Provari isn't for collecting although owning more then one certainly makes sense.

I own one. I bought it when it was really the best vv mod out there. It's great, dependable and can always be fixed. But I never needed another one. Vaping technology is always evolving (pun very much intended ;)). I don't own multiples of anything. I like to try new toys. I already know what ProVari can do.

Now I want to know what the DNA 40 is all about. :D Besides, I prefer the small box form of DNA mods--they feel more comfortable in my hands than big and heavy tube mods.

As always, YMMV.

I recently bought an item from a large retailer (not vaping related) and paid a premium for it. It was to replace an item I had used for many years before that cost less than half what I paid for the replacement. It does exactly the same thing, albeit I think the newer one to be less quality manufacturing. I feel like a toad.

Point is, what can the Provari do that many, many other comparable devices that cost less can't? I have seen clones of many devices and own some others...all for less cost than the Provari...which do exactly the same thing. They send electricity to the coil. That's it...nothing more. Dang even the MVP will charge your mobile phone. So the answer is zero is enough for me.

Now I do have to wonder why anyone would start a thread like this. But I also wonder why I see single 60 yr old men driving expensive sports cars or young men wearing $100k worth of jewelry around their necks. My answer is...some people love to show off their possessions if only to appear wealthy.
