Just curious to know how many of you have overdosed on nicotine since switching to e-cigs. My first exosure to an ecig I OD'd on some 16mg stuff after puffing 15-20 times. Nothing real serious just broke out in a sweat and hr was greatly increased. Since then I switched to 11mg and havent' had problems for over a week unitl yesterday had the same reaction. I wasn't overdoing it either, just puffing as usually, kind of weird.

I've tried the 0mg and super low (4mg) but my craving for real cigs just overpowers me. I was a light smoker to begin with, only smoking around a half a pack of lights. I never got this reaction smoking analogs. I can't imagine how some of you vape the 36mg fierce liquid! I'd be in the floor ready to have a coronary! 8-o

That 36 is pretty strong, I got palpitations and went all shaky when I tried a little of that. I suppose it's all about how much tolerance and dependence individuals have built up.

I'm working on lowering mine so I now vape zero or low/6mg with an occasional couple of drips of medium/11mg or high/18mg for a spike - just like smoking. Because I'm not getting a constant dose the spike is noticeable, I get a good buzz but not too much and my tolerance isn't being kept high.

i'm going through my second episode now, with about 1 1/2 months use. first episode was much worse, and i went from 36 down to 24 after that. i still get confused because overdose and withdrawal have near identical symptoms, making this very tricky. i think i am also sick right now, making things even worse, but its a weird sick that feels very different than ever before, and i suspect its something to do with the pg keeping me from having sinus/throat/lung symptoms.its like a head and body cold.anyway, i just bought 70ml of 24mg, so hopefully ill be ok. i started on 16, and it didnt seem to do anything for me, thats when i got the 36.the od scared me a lot, so i started diluting it to about 24. my second episode started right after i got the pilot. i dont know if its delivering a lot more nic than the 901, or if it's something else( i actually considered if there was something poison in it like glue in the atomizer, my heart would pound if i took 2 drags off it).maybe i just smoked it too much trying to break it in. either way, i put it away until i feel better(every time i tried to pick it up, i got worse again, even with 11mg in it). so now im left wondering how much the actual cig has to do with how much nic is being delivered.

still waiting on my first e-cig kit to arrive, so havent OD'd on nic using e-cigs yet, but I have gotten too much nicotine using the patch. Bought some cheapy ones from walgreens and even though I was used to smoking nearly 2 packs a day, it made me feel ill until I took it off at the end of the workday. Either was simply stronger than I was used to or the quality control was crap and it had more than it was supposed to.

I tried the next lower dose of patches and they were too weak. I ended up smoking and wearing the patch.

The more vapor a device gives, the more liquid it uses. The more liquid you vape, the more nic you get in. So yes, the device sure has something to do with it... this is also why I raised questions when quite a while ago people were suddenly going for pipes - and ordering 24 or 36 along with it.... didn't seem to be such a good idea...

I think the one problem with vaping is that the Nicotine strength and intake is so uncertain ....I use quite a bit of 36 mg....yet for me it doesn't seem all that strong...and the longer I have been vaping it seems as if I am loosing my nic tollerance....because if I try an analogue now.....it seems to give me a much bigger nicotine 'high'.....I almost feel like I am o/d ing on an analogue now. .......I have been wondering if it's possible my bottle of high strength has been loosing it's nicotine strength since it has been exposed to the air and I am not really vaping 36mg anymore.....I am getting a new bottle tomorrow so that will answer that question for me.

I've been smoking for a week now and haven't od yet anyway.
I started on the 16 mg cartridges and found them not to be enough so I bought some of the 36 mg high test from Totally Wicked. I only take about 5 or six hits of that when I get a strong craving and it does the trick. Otherwise I stick to the 16 or 18 mg stuff. Worst so far was feeling a little light headed.

I noticed I had some problems with ODing when I switched from 901 to the 401 (Pilot). I think that maybe because u have to pull harder on the 901 to get the same vapor as the 401 with less pull... I tend to pull more or harder on the 401 than I need to. It also feels so much better than the 901 that I puff it constantly and rarely put it down. I switched from 24 to 16 but I think I will start mixing 16 with 11 if I am going to constant puff (or switch to 11 completely) to avoid the OD.

The first sign I get that I am beginning to OD is a stuffy sinus and ringing ears. That's noticable enough to warn me to slow down, so I seldom get any worse OD effects

Leaford, you are the first person i've seen mention anything about ringing in the ears. I had noticed i'd been getting that but wasn't sure if it was due to vaping. Especially since i just went a week without vaping but was smoking analogs. I did have a little ringing one evening but nothing quite as much as when i was on the ecig.
Today i am back on the ecig and yep, the ringing has come back some. And now i just noticed the stuffy nose. Guess i just need to watch my vaping afor a while. I have gone back up to 24mg from 16 mg so maybe that caught me out a little too. I'm picking up some VG on Thursday with the intention of mixing the high down to a 12mg mix. Hopefully that will take care of that.

Now i know the ringing is a sign of too much nic i guess i should stop when that starts huh .

I can't help but wonder if you're OD'ing on the nicotine or all of the other crap when you hit an analog.

I have just received my 'new' bottles of 36 mg ...and after a few vapes I am getting that very light headed high again....so now I am wondering if a bottle does start to loose it's nicotine strength once it has been opened and keeps on getting exposed to the air.

damn, i just bought a 50 ml bottle, hope it dosnt go bad....

spikey... yea, i may have been hitting it too much because i liked the way it hit, and wanted to break it in, lol, but now im a bit afraid of it(mostly because im still not feeling well).the little that ive used it though, the batteries do seem to last long, and dripping into the cart isnt as bad as some made it seem. i think they should put a light spring under the cart that would raise it to the surface when removed from the atomizer. was thinking of taking the spring out of the flint part of a bic lighter to see if i could rig something :D would be sweet if the cart popped up when removed.

An hour later and I am feeling convinced it isn't just my imagination that I am getting more of a 'high' from the freshly opened juice.....perhaps it isn't a good idea to buy big bottles.

I wonder if anyone else is thinking a fresh bottle has a higher strength...might be a good topic for a new thread.
