Scary video, I will have to join YouTube and ask him where he got that 97.2% success rate for switching. Don't have time right now.

I wasn't trying to scare people, just lend some truth. She got that 97.2% from a few different tobacco and vaping information websites. People should make time, like I did, to do their research. Let me go thru my endless bookmarks and I'll give you my sources.

In the Wall Street article article that JonnyVapΣ put up it says that The National Vapers Club claims there are 1 million vapors. The article also says that there were 100 million in annual sales. Don't see how a vapor could only spend $100 dollars a year so the two figures don't add up for me. So 500,000 seems more realistic.

Depends on how you define a vaper. (lying with statistics 101)

a vaper is someone who,

A) vaped one gas station disposable and never again
B) vaped on a mini for a couple weeks, and never again
C) vaped for a few months but went back to analogs
D) vaped, enjoyed it and upgraded their equipment to completly give up analogs forever.

What combination of those catagories do you think they are counting?

We probally think only in the D catagory or we wouldn't spend so much time posting here! :)

See where you are pulling that figure from but it's got to be a mess up...maybe 1 million for that 1 company.
as later on in the same article it says..."Cignot Inc. last year and says it has generated about $1.5 million in sales."

Well, I do know that the most popular e cig site (blucig) is getting about 400,000 unique visits a month. And thats just them. If even 5% of those visits are sales (which its probably more) that means at least 20,000 people per month are purchasing for the first time. Think about that. Thats 1 website.

That should be $100 million in sales. Was that what you meant?

Why would it mean they are purchasing for the first time? I would think most sales would be for consumables.

So would something like between 500,00 and 1,000,000 vapers that actually kicked the tobacco habit be a reasonable guess
